Detox smoothie can be a combination of fresh fruits and vegetables. It is a healthy drink to eliminate toxins in the body. Having enough fruits inside my refrigerator, I decided to make my own version of detox smoothie using apples, dragon fruit, and ginger tea. This delicious drink can be considered as one of the detox drinks for weight loss. I really find it very effective for me. Try it yourself to enjoy this delicious smoothie too!

  • 2 dragon fruit or pitaya, chopped; frozen
  • 1 apple, chopped; frozen
  • 1 cup homemade ginger tea
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar, optional


For Preparing the Ingredients:

  • knife

  • measuring spoons

For Making the Smoothie:

  • blender

  1. Roughly chop all the fruits.
  2. Freeze all the chop fruits.
  3. Blend all the frozen fruits together with the remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve while still cold.

  2. Add or reduce the amount of sugar based on preferred sweetness.

It's a very simple yet absolutely effective recipe. Dragon fruit though is quite expensive in most places. I think that's the reason why there are only few people who include it in a detox recipe. Thanks for dropping by! Cheers!

My father grows dragon plants in his farm that's why we had enough supply of this kind of fruit. Actually, I used dragon fruits in other recipes of mine. I truly eating this fruit because it helps me cleanse toxic from my body.

Hello Dred cuan, thank you for sharing. Two months ago, a certain hubber introduced the dragon fruit online to me. But the fruit is not farmed and market in my state. I try big local marts which imported foreign fruits to no avail. I have lots of fruits in my freezer, otherwise, I would this morning take just the 5minutes and have it done to detox my digestive system.

Today, I am going to a mart to shop for fruits and vegetables. I will be on the sharp lookout. Moreover, I am using limes and cucumbers to detox as my regular daily does. Many thanks again.

I have never used Star Fruit in a smoothie, though I make one every day. I never thought of using ginger tea as the liquid for my smoothies, though I use fresh ginger. Thank you for these tips. I can't wait to give them a try.
