The Eating Corn on the Cob Debate

The way to eat corn on the cob has been a debate just like how to put toilet paper on the roll. Some people want to put it so the sheets come under the roll and others say the roll should be put so the sheets go over the roll. Other say it really doesn't matter one way or the other.

Some people eat corn on the cob from end to end going from the left to the right while others eat it by twisting the cob round and round.

Like the toilet paper debate, some people say it doesn't matter as long as you get it in your mouth while it is piping hot and soaked in butter.

There have been debates at the dining room table about who is eating corn on the cob right and who is eating it wrong.

There is no right or wrong way to eat corn on the cob. It is a matter of personal preference.

Even so, how you eat your corn says a great deal about your personality. It would not be wise to base your personality solely on the way you eat corn on the cob. It is just a fun way to have a conversation while you are enjoying the vegetable.

Ways to Eat Corn on the Cob

There are really three ways that people eat corn on the cob.

  1. Corn on the corn can be eaten in a straight line from left to right.
  2. Corn can be eaten in a circle by rolling the corn around and around.
  3. A combination of both of the above can be used.

Eating Corn on the Cob By Rolling It Around

Some people eat their corn in a circle by rolling the ear around in a circular motion. The personality of these people seems to be multi-tasked because they can handle more than one thing at a time.

When you visit their houses or offices, you will see that they have many different projects going on at the same time. However, at the end of the day, all of them are finished.

Eating corn by turning the ear in circles means the eater is spontaneous, creative and enjoys new adventures.

Eating Corn on the Cob from Left to Right

People who eat their corn from left to right are analytical and rational. They are straight line people who finish one project before starting another.

People who eat their corn this way do it like an old fashion typewriter works. That simply means a person eats a row in a straight line. Then he turns the ear slightly and does the same thing on another row.

Ways to Cook Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is eaten a lot in the summertime at picnics and cookouts, but it can be eaten any time of the year no matter what the occasion is. Corn prepared on the grill is so delicious, but there are other ways to cook it.

It can be boiled in a pot on the stove, cooked in the microwave, in the oven or it can be eaten raw. Some people boil their corn on the cob in milk.

Zia, I love corn on the cob and I eat it often especially in the summer. I eat it from left to right. Based on the article, I am analytical and rational.
