How To Quickly Prepare Besan Burfi At Home

Burfi is a dense milk-based sweet. It was originated in the Indian subcontinent. It is usually prepared with condensed milk and sugar. But today's burfi will be prepared with besan, ghee, and dry fruits etc. It is very easy and simple to prepare besan burfi at home.

Ingredients

For making sugar syrup:

  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of water

For making batter:

  • 1 cup of besan(gram flour)
  • 1/2 cup of ghee(clarified butter)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder

Dry fruits:

  • 1/4 cup of almond nut
  • 1/4 cup of pistachio nut

Instructions

1. Turn on the oven, pour sugar and water into the pan to make sugar syrup and let it melt properly.

2. After the sugar melts properly, take out the sugar syrup into a glass and keep it aside.

3. Heat another pan and pour ghee into the pan. Add besan into the pan and mix it well. Fry it on low flame until it turns into a batter.

4. After turning into the batter, add sugar syrup (heat the sugar syrup again if frozen) with the batter into the pan and cook it by stirring for about 3 minutes on low flame.

6. Spread almond nut and pistachio nut on the besan burfi. Gently, press on them with a knife.

7. Keep the besan burfi at room temperature for 30 minutes or in the fridge for 15 minutes if you want it immediately.

8. After keeping the besan burfi at room temperature for 30 minutes or in the fridge for 15 minutes if you want it immediately, cut it into square shapes with a knife.

9. It is now ready to serve besan burfi to the family members.
