Naga Viper Pepper

As of December 3, 2010 the Naga Viper Pepper is now the Hottest Pepper in the World. The Naga Viper Pepper is a genetically engineered pepper by the inventor Gerald Fowler. This pepper is a result of crossing three of the hottest known peppers together.

  • Bhut Jolokia
  • Naga Morich
  • Trinidad Scorpion

Using the Scoville scale the Naga Viper Pepper Measures an astounding 1,359,000, compared to the previous hottest pepper the Bhut Jolokia at 1,001,304.  The Scoville Scale us a a heat measurement from a chemical compound called capsaicin.
