Homemade Pizza Casserole

If you like Pizza and have never tried pizza casserole, you are in for a treat! This recipe is very easy, can be changed to fit your needs or taste, and is a favorite among many. At last minute last year I decided to enter pizza casserole in a competition. The casserole came in 2nd out of 31 entries and I am not a professional nor accustom to the competition world like many of those ladies and gentleman were.


  • 1 Medium Red Bell Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 Medium Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
  • 1 Large Onion, Chopped
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 cups Noodles, Boiled
  • 1 Medium pack pepperoni Slices
  • 16 oz Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 Medium/Large Pack Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded


  1. Bring water to Boil, and start preheating oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Add noodles. For a Prettier dish I mix my kinds of noodles- but plain ole macaroni noodles will work if that is all you have. As long as it comes up to 2 cups you are good to go! :)
  3. While your noodles are boiling, over a medium heat in a large skillet brown your hamburger meat. This can be replaced with ground turkey, sausage, chicken. Just about anything honestly. Just like a pizza, pizza casserole can include your favorite ingredients.
  4. Once your meat has browned, drain the excess grease. Then return to skillet.
  5. Turn on low heat and add your onion, bell pepper, and pepperoni. IStir frequently.
  6. You will notice that your pepperoni, onion, and peppers will appear to "wilt" when this has happened, open your can of spaghetti sauce and pour half of it in the skillet and stir well. If you wish to add mushrooms, black olives, etc this when you would need to do that also.
  7. Take skillet and set aside for a minute.
  8. Drain Noodles
  9. In a medium/large casserole pan pour your drained noodles, remaining spaghetti sauce, and contents in your skillet and stir until well mixed.
  10. Level the contents in the pan and top with mozzarella cheese.
  11. Place in oven and allow to bake until cheese is melted.
