I have personally used this recipe repeatedly and sometimes I even use substitutes just to see the outcome. obviously, some of the experiments were a disaster. At the same time, some were actually nice and to my lovely sister who doesn't mind tasting them all for me.

Ingredients

  • 11/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 11/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup espresso coffee, hot
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavor
  • 2 eggs, large

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, sieve all the dry ingredients together excluding sugar
  2. In another bowl, add the sugar and vegetable and mix thoroughly until thick
  3. Add the eggs to the mix
  4. Include the milk and vanilla flavour and gently mix together
  5. Divide your dry ingredient into two and gently fold in the first batch
  6. Pour in the hot coffee and mix a little
  7. Add and gently mix the last batch of the dry ingredient
  8. Line your pan with parchment and grease
  9. pour your cake mix into the pan and bake in a preheated oven of 350 degrees Fahrenheit
