With Thanksgiving just around the corner I am starting to line up all my Holiday recipes for my family gathering, And as such I thought I would take this opportunity to share these recipes with you. I have made these recipes but included videos so you could follow along.
I would like to forewarn you that if you get the cranberry sauce on your clothes it stains terribly. It is best to wear an apron when making homemade cranberry sauce. As a special treat I have included a video on how to make cranberry sauce with alcohol. This sauce is awesome when it is cool outside and for the Holidays.

Home made carnberry sauce is perhaps the easiest side dish to make for the Holidays. I make this very year. It is relativey inexpensive, easy and delicious. Everyone raves about this side dish and it is so simple. I am often asked what is my secret and if there is a secret it is the simplicity of the recipe.

The tart flavor of cranberries makes a nice complement to any Holiday feast. This is a classic!
In Conclusion
The Holidays are a wonderful time to put your culinary skills on exhibit. The more creative you are the more enjoyable the dishes. It is best though to try your new recipes before the actual day to perfect your recipe.
The holidays are the only time to have a traditional dinner so why not go all out especially when cranberry saice is so simple to make. I promised you my exclsuive recipe and now i will share it and you will laugh at how simplistic it is.
- 1- bag of cranberries (washed)
- 1- cup of orange juice
- 1-cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
Cook over medium low heat frequently stirring until the cranberries are almost all open and a nice thick sauce is formed.
That is it. So simple and takes about ten minutes.

When I get on these writing streaks I forget to eat and therefore I suddenly start writing about food as I am hungry but want to finish my hubs. As you can probably tell I am really hungry today as I am getting ready for Thanksgiving.

I did not always like cranberry sauce. I suppose the main reason I passed it up for other goodies on the table. My wife makes a really great cranberry salad and as for the sauce,yummy.
