Easy Cucumber Salad Recipe
How to Make Cucumber Salad
Summer time is a great time of the year to make all sorts of fabulous salads ! Cucumber salads are a very popular cold salad. This recipe can be stored for 2 months in your refrigerator.
Ingredients:
4 cucumbers (sliced thin)
1 red onion (sliced)
1 bell pepper (sliced)
2 cups white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon celery flakes
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Mix vegetables together in a bowl and add salt. In a small pan mix together the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil, and take off the heat and add a couple handfuls of ice. Put vegetables into canning jars and pour liquid mixture into jar. Makes 2, 2 quart jars.

Does this recipe need sugar (or some form of sugar substitute)? I don't see it in the ingredients.

Did you not want to add sugar to the vinegar - reason for boiling it--- was that omitted by accident ?

We love to have fresh cucumbers. My husband always makes a batch of cucumbers with onion and vinegar but we have never tried it with the other ingredients you mentioned here. I think we would love this. Will definitely give this a try. Voted this up and useful! Have a great day! :)
