- dinner rolls, thawed from frozen
For the Coating after Frying:
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon, ground
- 1 cup sugar, white
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, ground
Procure and Thaw
For a batch, I took 12 frozen dinner rolls and placed them in a bowl with lid I left them sit on the kitchen counter overnight.
In the morning, I pulled the dough (now thawed and raised) out of the bowl. I stretched it out flat on a cutting board and started to cut strips with a knife. Later, I used a pizza cutter.
Heated up the deep fryer and placed 15 pieces of dough in at a time, flipping them over until all sides a nice golden brown.
Dump out into a pan lined with paper towels. Coat with sugar mixture. Eat!
