Cookbook Collecting: the Storage Saga

My first cookbook was received when I was a child. Kim's Cooking for Kids. That cookbook had scrambled eggs, eggnog, and a few other recipes

It was boxed. The instructions were in boxes. The ingredients were in boxes.

By the time you completed the last box of instructions, your recipe was complete.

It was fun.

I have had more books, but for a while I listed some online. One of most memorable was selling to a woman who was featured in the cookbook.

She had participated in a Pillsbury Bake off, had won but had not taken the win seriously until years later when her grandchildren wanted a copy of the cookbook for bragging rights.

I helped her find additional copies.
