This is the best easy pineapple upside-down cake from scratch. Made with a soft, fluffy, and simple vanilla cake base that uses only the most basic ingredients and a pretty topping of caramelized pineapple and maraschino cherries this retro cake is served upside down and perfect any time of year. It’s just a matter of combining melted butter and brown sugar on a pie plate and assembling your fruit, but a well-suited vanilla cake was much trickier to get right.

History of Pineapple Cake

Pineapple cake is a sweet traditional Taiwanese baked good containing flour, egg, sugar, and pineapple cuts. Ingredients

  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 7 pineapple slices / rings
  • 7 red cherries
  • 170 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt (as required)

How to Make Pineapple Upside-Down Cake?

  • For the topping: In a bowl, add light brown sugar, butter and melt it

Step 2

  • Make the batter: Now take a bowl, add sugar powder, butter and mix it. Then add eggs, pineapple juice, flour, baking powder, salted pineapple juice, and mix it well

Step 3

  • Now take a molding dish, place the paste over the base which we have prepared before, then arrange 7 pineapple rings and 7 glace cherries in the centers of the rings, place the batter and fill the molding dish.

  • Baking: Bake it in the microwave for 25-30 minutes at 180-200 degrees Celsius. Yummy downside pineapple cake is ready to serve.
