Christmas Popcorn Recipes: Caramel and Flavored Popcorn, Gourmet Gift Tin Ideas, and More
Popcorn is a wonderful snack or dessert that is easy to make for Christmas gifts as well as Christmas parties. The next time you are hosting an event or looking for a simple gift to give, consider caramel popcorn, seasonally flavored popcorn (i.e. peppermint), or popcorn balls. Don't forget to package it in a holiday tin or other festive packaging. Have a great holiday!
There are a number of popular Christmas popcorn ingredients that you can mix and match for different recipes.
Ingredient Options | ||

There are a wide variety of holiday specific popcorn recipes out there. Of course you don't need to feel limited to these as there are lots of other popcorn options, too. However, you'll have plenty to choose from without going elsewhere. Once you have grown comfortable with preparing popcorn desserts and snacks, you'll be able to start customizing them to make them truly your own. Consider experimenting with different options from the ingredients list on the right.
Christmas Popcorn Recipes
- Butter Toffee Popcorn. This recipe has just the right combination of sweet and salty. The nuts also give it some extra crunch.
- Caramel Popcorn. You'll get a caramel flavor from marshmallows and brown sugar.
- Caramel Popcorn Balls. People will always get a kick out of classic popcorn balls. This recipe includes caramel.
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Popcorn. Peanut butter might not be most people's first choice for Christmas, but is it ever a bad time of year to pull out a great peanut butter recipe?
- Fancy Caramel Popcorn. This popcorn gets an extra crunch from pretzels and has a great aesthetic with both white and milk chocolate.
- Fruity Candy Popcorn. This popcorn gets its fruity flavor from Jello. Pick any flavor that you like. Just make sure that you get a regular variety instead of a sugar free one.
- Gingerbread Popcorn. If this won't get you into the holiday spirit, I don't know what will.
- Marshmallow Caramel Popcorn. There is just an ingredient list and not a full recipe here, but the concept is pretty self-explanatory. Be prepared for a seriously sweet treat.
- Peppermint Bark Popcorn. Peppermint is one of the classic flavor choices for Christmas.
- Peppermint Cookies & Cream Popcorn. This is one for the Oreo cookie lovers.
- Popcorn Cake. If popcorn balls aren't enough for you, take it up another notch with a popcorn cake.
- Popcorn Christmas Trees. Instead of making popcorn balls, why not make popcorn Christmas trees?
- Popcorn with White Chocolate and M&Ms. Any kind of M&Ms will work just fine for this recipe, but Christmas M&Ms are a fun choice for the season.
- Salted Caramel Almond Pretzel Popcorn. Go the extra mile and opt for almonds instead of peanuts.
- Spiced Sugar Christmas Popcorn. Instead of making a really sweet popcorn, opt for something with classic spices.
- Traditional Popcorn Balls. A touch of food coloring will add a seasonal touch to any popcorn recipe.
- White Chocolate and Peppermint Covered Popcorn. This popcorn recipe has a lovely pink color.

I love to give the 'popcorn tin' as a gift and just recently walked through the store racking my brain as to WHO I could send it to, ha ha. Well, maybe Santa will deliver one to our address!

This is a very thorough hub. Now we can either buy popcorn or make and wrap it for gifts! Looking down the list, I plan to try the salted caramel almond pretzel. It's easy to carmelize sugar and then it's just a matter of adding the marshmallows and other ingredients. Sounds delicious and simple! Thanks so much for another useful and creative hub.
