Chocolate Rice Krispie Cake decorated with eggs


  1. Milk Chocolate: 240 grams or 8 oz.
  2. Butter: 30 grams or 1 oz.
  3. Syrup: 3 Tbsp.
  4. Rice krispie/ cornflakes: 60 grams or 2 oz.
  5. Bun cases

For Decoration:

200 grams or 7 oz of mini eggs.


  1. Take a 12 cup tin and place baking cases in it.
  2. Take a large sauce pan.
  3. Break chocolate in to small pieces and put them in the pan.
  4. Put the pan on low heat.
  5. Now add butter and syrup.
  6. Stir the pan till all the chocolate and butter is melted.
  7. Care should be taken that the pan should be stirred continuously as not to let the mixture boil.
  8. Now take the pan of the heat and put the rice Krispies or cornflakes in the pan.
  9. Stir till all of them are coated with the chocolate syrup.
  10. Now with help of a big spoon put these coated flakes in to the baking cases.
  11. Tap down to remove any air left.
  12. Now add the decorations before chocolate gets hard.
  13. Place it in a fridge for 30 to 40 minutes to cool it down.
  14. Cake is ready to serve.

These look interesting. When we make this we call it rice crispie treats and spread the mix in a 11x13 rectangular cake pan. Then we cut them in squares. But your idea of putting them in cupcake or muffin liners is cute and decorated with eggs they would be a great gift from the Easter Bunny. I bet a creative skilled person could sculpt them into shapes like bunnies or eggs, etc. The chocolate would make them really special. What sort of syrup do you add?
