Chilli Paneer Recipe

  • 100 grams paneer, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium sized capsicum, cubed
  • 1 medium sized onion, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • salt, to taste
  • spring onion, chopped (to garnish)


  1. To a bowl, add 100 grams paneer cubes, 2 tablespoons all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1/2 tablespoon garlic paste, 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder, 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder, 1/2 cup water and salt to taste.
  2. Mix well to coat.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and shallow fry paneer until golden.
  4. Drain off on the kitchen tissue and keep it aside.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add 1 teaspoon chopped garlic, onion and capsicum.
  6. Sauté for 1 - 2 mins.
  7. Add 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder, 1 tablespoon chilli sauce, 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon soya sauce and fried paneer.
  8. Toss on high flame for a minute.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped spring onions
