Cooking instructions for how to make delicious chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes

Here are the cooking instructions for how to make this dish of delicious chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
  2. For this scrumptious chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes recipe, wash the raw chicken wings well, pat dry with paper towels and season the raw chicken wings with assorted spices including:
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic
  • Oregano
  • Onion powder (optional as you will be using the fresh onion as well)
  1. Arrange the raw, seasoned chicken wings in baking tray that has been lined with foil that was greased with cooking oil.
  2. Place the baking tray containing the chicken wings in the oven for one hour and fifteen minutes.
  3. Next, for this delicious chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes recipe, wash and peel several raw onions and cut them up into relatively small pieces or dice them up.

The onion pieces can be lightly sautéed and caramelized on the stove top or the onions can even be left raw and added to the baking tray with the chicken wings at the end or very near the end of the chicken wings’ cooking time.

  1. At this time, you can also wash a few fresh lemons, slice them up and add them to the chicken wings in the baking tray as garnish. Have a few lemons that you did not cut into several slices but just cut in two and use those to squeeze some of the juice from the lemons on to the pieces of chicken as well.
  2. For the potatoes, wash them well.
  3. Then boil the potatoes on the stovetop.
  4. When the potatoes are fully cooked, drain them of the hot, boiled water carefully.
  5. You can refill the pot of potatoes with water that is cold and let the potatoes soak in the cold water to speed up the cooling process a little.
  6. Allow the potatoes to cool and when they are cool enough to the touch, peel them and cut them up into small pieces.
  7. The number of potatoes that you cooked for this recipe might depend on the number of people that you are serving the chicken wings meal to. To serve four to six people a fairly large portion of the chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes dinner, you might want to have cooked a dozen potatoes in a large pot.
  8. Melted butter and dashes of salt would be great on the potatoes. As before mentioned, you can add ketchup as well.
  9. You can eat the chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes as a full, complete meal or you can optionally add some cooked white rice too, as shown in some of the photos.
  10. When you are ready to serve this chicken wings with lemon, onions and potatoes dish on plates, everyone will be excited to dig in. Enjoy your chicken wings with lemon, onion and potatoes meal!

I imagine the onions, lemons and seasonings would work for other chicken pieces as well. Sounds good! Thanks!
