Cheese Dip - Char's Best Recipe
This is quite tasty with Doritos dipped. I have had dollops on a piece of bread. It also tastes good on club crackers.
Ingredients
- salsa
- ground beef
- cheese sauce
- onion
- johnny's salt
- doritoes
- mrs. dash
Brown the Ground Beef
I had a one pound package of frozen ground beef. I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. It seemed softened. Another 30 seconds and it was ready for the frying pan.
I sliced off three slices of onion. I minced the pieces and added it to the ground beef. Then, sprinkled Mrs. dash and seasoned salt across the surface of the beef. Then, I let it dry. There were a few large chunks which I broke smaller with a wooden spatula.
Cook the Beef Combination
Cook it until the beef has completely changed color from red to a grey. Browned, they call it.
Once the beef is cooked. Get rid of excessive grease. This did not have any, so there was no draining. Mix in salsa and cheese sauce.
Bring to bubbling boil, stirring the bubbles around. The cheese will merge with the tomatoes and will become a rusty color.
Then let cool, and eat with your favorite cracker or chip.
