One Tea Lover's Favorite Brands and Flavors

I have been a tea lover and drinker since I was a very little girl. My grandmother used to make tea on a daily basis and sit with me to have a tea party quite often. Since that time, I have had a love affair with teas of all kinds, flavors, and forms. I have had very expensive tea imported from China and I have had inexpensive tea bought at the grocery store.

This article is to share with other tea drinkers the best and most flavorful store-bought tea brands and flavors by season. You can purchase these teas at almost every grocery store in the United States and elsewhere. And it won't break your bank, so you'll have more money to spend sampling other teas!

1. Celestial Seasonings Tea: Cheap and Quality

One of my favorite store-bought tea brands is Celestial Seasonings. This is a brand that my grandmother introduced me to many years ago. It is inexpensive and the quality and variety of flavors leave nothing to be desired. Keep in mind that the list below is just a break-down of the best flavors in what I perceive to be the best seasons to drink them. You can mix and match and drink them whenever you'd like to! 2. Bigelow: Reliable Tea

Bigelow comes in second to Celestial Seasonings simply for the fact that they are not as easy on the environment as Celestial Seasonings. Other than that, they are a very reliable tea brand that can be purchased from your local grocery store. They also have a wide variety of black, green, and herbal teas that are broken down here by my favorites per season:

4. Lipton: Traditional and American

One of the first brands I remember drinking was Lipton. I still tend to use the Lipton tea bags when I make a batch of Southern Sweet Tea as it is just a good ol' American classic, in my humble opinion. You can't really go wrong with a box of Lipton Tea. Though it is not the highest quality in comparison to the other grocery store tea brands, it is still trustworthy and inexpensive. It is available to all tea-drinkers throughout the spectrum. Here's another list of my favorite flavors broken down by season:

  • Blueberry Pomegranate White
  • Black Tea
  • Decaf Black
  • Green Tea Superfruit
  • Red Goji Raspberry Green

  • Passionfruit Coconut
  • Black Currant and Vanilla Superfruit
  • Pyramid Green Tea with Mandarin Orange
  • Orange Passionfruit Jasmine Green
  • Pure Green
  • Harvest Strawberry and Passionfruit

  • Black Pearl
  • Tuscan Lemon
  • Vanilla Caramel Black
  • Bavarian Wild Berry Black
  • Black Tea

  • Bedtime Story
  • Honey Green Tea
  • Green Tea
  • Vanilla Caramel Truffle

Don't forget that Lipton has a wide array of Iced Tea flavors...that are simply the best!

Kelly Hunter from Crescent City, California on January 17, 2015:

I love tea's and too tease! Try some indian, (feather and dot indian) wild and native spiced chia tea's, with a little more chia to bring out the flavor and zing in all your favorit tea's. You'll never drink another soda pop ever again.

oldiesmusic from United States on November 22, 2013:

I'm now starting to drink teas nowadays (before I was just a coffee addict). I'm surprised by the variety of flavors, I might not want to miss all of them as much as possible. Thanks for this wonderful information. Will bookmark this.

Gotta love the Earl Grey!

Brian Prickril from Savannah, GA on November 06, 2013:

I have been a fan of tea for many years. I usually get things rolling in the morning with a cup of coffee, but I'll follow it up with a cup of tea. The Tazo Zen is one of my favorites. I like the taste that the lemongrass and spearmint add to it. Or I'll do some Earl Grey if it's the caffeine I'm after. Great hub!

Claudia Mitchell on August 21, 2013:

Mmmmmm Constant Comment. I love that tea. May go make a cup now. Also going to check out a few more of these teas.

Mackenzie Sage Wright on August 04, 2013:
