Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

These, are by far, the best chocolate chip cookies I have had. Always make a large batch because they won’t last long!


1 ¼ cup sugar

1 ¼ cup brown sugar, firmly packed

1 ½ cup butter or margarine, softened

4 ¼ cup flour

2 tsp. vanilla

3 eggs

2 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

1-2 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet

In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs. Blend well. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 – 10 minutes at 375 °F or until light golden brown. Do not over bake, they should look almost uncooked! They will be incredibly chewy! Makes 6 dozen.

Rose Mary -- Of course! I sometimes use mint chocolate, which gives it a refreshing twist to the cookie.
