Barley Gumbo and Turkey Soup with Dumplings
Everything has to cook in its own time frame. The turkey was from cooking the bird. The de-boned tiny scrap pieces of turkey.
Some frozen stuffed dumplings. Part of a jar of medium salsa. The barley and Bear Creek gumbo soup mix.
6 minutes here, another 15 minutes here
Ok. Time to sample!
Ingredients
Mix in Sections:
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic
- 6 ounces salsa
Start - Bring to Boil:
- 8 cups water
- 4 cups turkey
Add Frozen - Boil 6 minutes:
- 20 frozen chicken and vegetable dumplings
Add rest - Boil 15 Minutes:
- 1 cup barley
- 1 package bear creek gumbo soup mix
I had missed a few bones, but, realistically the flavor of all the parts mixed well.
