Ahi Tuna Steak - Panfried

It is recommended that the steak is sprinkled with seasoned salt, and left in refrigerator to let salt permeate the surface.

Then, a pan is heated with a bit of seasoned butter and a small bit of oil, to a moderately hot temperature. Hot enough to sizzle a drop of water.

The ahi Tuna is then placed in the pan. It is cooked until the color changes to gray half way up the piece. The piece is then flipped over.

Place a small part of butter on top of the steak.

At this point, cook to an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit. There will be a slight amount of pink remaining in the center of the steak.
