Ahi Tuna - Breaded and Deep Fried
Ok. Deep Fried. First bite. Flavorful. Not flaky like regular fish. More firm, like chicken. Or frog, or even alligator.
Yummy!
Ingredients
- ahi tuna
- fry magic
- egg/water
- cracker crumbs
Opening and Cutting in Cubes
I use this fry magic on a lot of things. I had to shake it and get the dried chunks out. Some smashed flat.
Like panning for gold, or getting chunks out of cat litter.
(This is where we giggle together)
I cut the two steaks into cubes. Got them damp with some water. Put them in the fry magic. Shook the box to coat them well. Dipped them in egg. Then, recoated the coated pieces with crackers.
Then, placed them in the deep fryer.
Incidentally, it took 14 minutes for the fryer to reach a ready state. Same amount of time it took to fully coat the tuna.
Then, 5 minutes in fryer.
See how the initial frying sets (cooks) the coating around the piece of tuna?
