3 Breakfasts With Peanut Butter: Delicious Recipes to Start the Day

Misbah is a kitchen geek. She loves to cook for her family and loves to share her recipes.

Those of us who like to cook and enjoy little things are constantly looking for new recipes, dishes, and breakfasts that bring joy to the day while helping us take care of ourselves. The more we read, the more information we have and the more we can choose from, which is why in the battle of property-rich breakfasts, oats or peanut butter, for example, have gained ground.

Unlike pistachios or pine nuts, peanuts are a cheap alternative to consume nuts, they are rich in protein and although they tend to have a high caloric intake (that is, we should not consume much if we are watching our calories) they are a great alternative for breakfasts where we need energy and motivation. Without a doubt, an unbeatable source of energy and a great option to make delicious recipes to start the day on the best foot. Consuming them in the right amount first thing in the morning will be perfect to start the day.

In addition, they reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases due to their monounsaturated fats, they are a powerful antioxidant and they have a lot of fiber.

When consuming butter or peanut butter, you must take something into account: the recipe with which it is made. On many occasions, we find packaging in the supermarket that looks very good, but when we observe their nutritional content we realize that they are full of sugar and they give us an extra that we are not interested in. Therefore, my advice is that you do it yourself.

It is very simple, nothing cumbersome and it is the best way to make sure that the ingredients it contains are 100% reliable: the ones you have added! Do you dare? In addition to the homemade recipe, we bring you the 7 most spectacular breakfasts with peanut butter. Do not miss the details.

Peanut butter is also a good source of copper, a mineral that helps maintain our bone health, immune function, and blood vessels. Some research suggests that getting enough copper in your diet may reduce your risk for osteoporosis and heart diseases.

How to make peanut butter

Take a good handful of natural or roasted peanuts (without salt) and crush them with a mincer or mixer for two minutes. In this first step, you need to be patient, as it will take time for them to be thoroughly crushed (in a creamy texture) and not just-chopped.

Approximately a minute after grinding we will begin to see the paste, although at first, it will be very dense. Give yourself a few more seconds to get the perfect texture.

In some recipes, you may find that they encourage you to add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil, but my recommendation is that you do not. Peanuts already have an oil that will give you a creamy texture and adding more to it is adding an excess of fat that you really do not need.

Also, those bought in supermarkets usually have added sugar and salt, but I do not recommend that you add them at first. Only if your recipe, when you go to consume it, is necessary.

Once the creamy texture is prepared, store it in a jar and put it in the fridge. This will last for weeks, but you must bear in mind that being homemade and without additives, part of the natural peanut oil will rise to the surface over the days and you will need to mix everything again when you go to consume it.

Easy, simple and very natural! We already have our peanut butter now. So shall we talk to prepare some breakfasts to enjoy it?

Cereal toast with avocado and peanut butter

Ingredients

  • Two slices of cereal bread.
  • Half avocado or Banana (as per your choice)
  • Peanut butter to taste.

Step by step

The first step is to toast the bread in a toaster or pan so that it is crunchy. Meanwhile, cut the avocado/ bananas into slices. When the toast is ready, spread the peanut butter (to taste) on top and let it melt a little with the heat. Later place the avocado/ banana slices. You can also add some sesame seeds to give it a nice finish if you like.

Peanut butter is a good source of Vitamin E, Niacin (B3), Manganese, Vitamin B6, Magnesium

Oat pancakes with peanut butter

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of oatmeal.
  • 4 egg whites.
  • Half a banana or any seasonal fruits you like
  • Peanut butter

Step by Step

Put the oatmeal and the egg whites in the blender and beat everything well. When we have the mixture we have two options: the first is to add the peanut butter to the mixture, before making the pancakes, and the second, to add it later.

If you decide to do it before, you must mix well and make the pancakes in a non-stick pan over medium heat. When you have them ready, it would only be left to put the sliced banana or any seasonal fruit of your choice on top. If you prefer to add it later, you will have to make the pancakes and then garnish it with the fruits and the peanut butter on the top. Great!

You can leave it fresh or put it in the microwave for a few seconds to make it a little. Later add the cinnamon powder to it to taste and enjoy!

Delicious! Do you know any more recipes for peanut butter breakfasts? They sure are to die for.
