One topic that is extensively debated is the effects of energy drinks on youth. Do these drinks have a negative impact on their health? Some people would agree, while others would disagree. The truth is, it depends on the person. For some, energy drinks are harmless. For others, they can be dangerous.

Energy drinks are loaded with sugar and caffeine. One can of Monster Energy contains about 54 grams of sugar and 160 milligrams of caffeine. That is the equivalent of drinking more than four cans of Coca-Cola.
