Whenever we host a party, we want our guests to have a memorable time and have loads of fun. We also want to impress our guests with unique and tantalizing creations that will make their mouths water, and keep them coming back for more. If you're put out with the costs of catering service or burned out on fixing the same dishes time after time, here is your laid out instructions for a terrific party menu!

1 - 14 oz can of artichoke hearts, 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder, 8 oz. of room temperature cream cheese, 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce.

Drain and chop artichokes. Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350° for 20-30 minutes in greased casserole. Serve with bagel chips or melba rounds.


One small bag of frozen shrimp, 8 oz. of cream cheese, 1 1/2 - 2 tbs. of yellow mustard, 1 - 2 tbs. of milk, 1 tsp. of grated onion (more or less to taste).

Beat cream cheese with 1 - 2 tbs. of milk (no more) until soft. Add grated onion, mustard and then fold in shrimp.


1 - 8 oz package of cream cheese, 1 bottle of cocktail sauce, 2 cans of miniature shrimp, 1 small green pepper that has been chopped fine, 1 bunch of chopped green onions, 2 small can of chopped black olives, and 1 large package of grated Mozzarella.

Spread cream cheese thin on a round platter of 13 x 9 glass dish. Layer the rest of the ingredients in the order listed. Serve with tortilla chips or Fritoes.


1 can of drained shrimp, 1 cup of grated shredded cheese, 2 oz of cream cheese, dash or two of cayenne pepper, 1 cup of Hellmann's mayonnaise, 1 can of chopped geren chiles, 1 tsp. of chopped onions.

Blend all ingredients well and bake at 350° for 10 minutes.


1 pint of sour cream, 1 cup of mayonnaise, 1 - 10 oz. pkg. of frozen spinach that has been cooked and well drained, 3/4 pkg. of dry leek soup mix, 1/2 cup of chopped parsley, 1/2 cup of chopped green onions, 1 tsp. of dry dill, 1 tsp. of dry Italian sald dressing mix.

Combine all the ingredients until well blended. Refrigerate for at least six hours. Serve with raw vegetables or chips.


Layer ingredients in the order that follows:

Bean dip, sour cream, guacamole dip, picante sauce, cheddar cheese, chopped geren onions, diced tomatoes, sliced ripe olives.

Serve with tortlla chips.


1 stick (1/2 cup) of unsalted butter or margarine, 2 tbs. of Dijon mustard, 1/8 tsp. of cayenne pepper, 1 cup of dry bread crumbs, 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tsp. of cumin, 20 chicken wings (wing tips cut off and discarded, then halved at joint).

In a shallow dish, whisk together the butter, mustard, and cayenne. In another shallow container, combine well the Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, cumin, and salt and pepper to taste. Dip chicken wings a few times in the butter mixture, letting the excess drip off. Coat them with the bread mixture and without touching, place in a greased, shallow baking ish. Bake chicken in the lower third of a pre-heated 425° oven for 30 minutes. (If extra crisp wings are desired, turn the wings after 20 minutes). Serves 6.


1 - 8 oz. package of cream cheese that has been softened, 1 1/2 cups of shredded Swiss cheese, 1/3 cup of sour cream, 1/8 tsp. of nutmeg, 1/8 tsp. of pepper, 1 - 6 oz can of crab meat that has been drained and flaked with the cartilage removed (or 1/2 cup imitation crabmeat that has been chopped), 3 tsp. of finely chopped green onions (divided) 1/3 cup of toasted sliced almonds, assorted crackers.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, the Swiss cheese, sour cream, nutmeg, and pepper. Stir in crab and 2 tbs of onions. Spread into an ungerased 9 inch pie dish. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with almonds and remaining onions. Serve with crackers.


1 - 6 1/2 oz. can of drained and flaked crab meat, 1 - 5 oz. jar of sharp processed cheese spread, 1/4 cup of softened butter, 1 tsp. of mayonnaise, 6 English muffins, paprika.

Combine the first 4 ingredients; mix well, and spread on each muffin half. Sprinkle with paprika. Cut eachmuffin half into quarters. Broil for 3 minutes, or until lightly browned. These may be frozen. If freezing, do not cut into quarters or broil, and wrap each muffin half in foil and freeze. When ready to serve, thaw while in foil wrappers. Now, cut into quarters and broil. These are also good with soup. Yields 4 dozen.


1 cup of flour, 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1/4 tsp. of powdered mustard, 1/8 tsp. of cayenne pepper, 2/3 stick of butter (1/3 cup), 1 cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese, 1 1/2 tbs. of water, 1 tsp. of celery seed and paprika.

Sift the first 4 ingredients into a mixing bowl. Add butter and 1/2 cup of grated cheese and cut into a coarse crumb consistency. Add water and toss lightly. Shape into a ball. Roll to 1/8" thick - sprinkle 1 side of the dough with 1/4 cup of cheese. Fold dough over and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup of cheese. Roll again to 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4" strips that are 1/2" wide. Sprinkle with celery seed and paprika. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. (For other variations, you may substitute garlic powder for the celery seed and paprika, or leave plain. Serve with marinara).


3 - 8 oz. packages of softened cream cheese, 3 tbs. of Worcestershire sauce, 1 bunch of chopped green onions, and 2 packages of wafer-thin sliced ham.

Mix softened cream cheese and Worcestershire sauce. Add chopped green onions and mix well. Add one package of the wafer-thin ham that has been chopped fine. Mix well. Chop other package of ham into squares. Form a cheese ball then layer top and sides with the ham squares. Serve with crackers.


12z. of whipped cream cheese, 1 pkg. of dried beef (shredded fine), 5 green onions (sliced thin with green tops), 1/4 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce.

Place 3 or 4 slices of beef on plate. Mix all the ingredients wee and form into a ball. Place the in the center of the slices of beef and pull slices up around the cheese ball. Chill for several hours.


2 - 8 oz. pkgs. of cream cheese, 1 - 8 oz can of crushed pineapple that has been drained well, 1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper, 2 tbs. of grated onion, 1 tbs of seasoned salt, and 2 cups of chopped pecans.

Mix all ingredients with 1 cup of pecans. Blend and shape into 2 balls. Roll balls in remaining pecans. Refrigerate or freeze.


1 lb. of ground beef, 2 tbsp. of bread crumbs, 1 egg that has been slightly beaten, 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1/2 cup of finely chopped onion, 1/3 cup of finely chopped green pepper, 2 tbs of butter or margarine, 1 - 10 3/4 oz can of Campbell's tomato soup, 2 tbsp. of brown sugar, 1 tbs. of vinegar, 1tbs of Worcestershire sauce,1 tsp. of mustard.

Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg and salt; shape into 50 - 1/2 inch meat balls. Place in a baking dish (13 x 9 x 2), and broil until browned; turn once. Spoon of fat. Meanwhile, in saucepan, sauté onion and green pepper in butter until tender. Pour over meat balls. Cover and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.


1 lb of ground beef, 1/2 cup of finely chopped water chestnuts, 1/8 tsp. of pepper

SAUCE: 1 cup of soy, 1/2 cup of water, garlic to taste, 2 Tbs. of sugar, 1 tsp. of ginger.

Form meatballs. Mix sauce ingredients. Marinate the meatballs in the sauce for 1 hour. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until the meatballs are done. Serve hot with toothpicks.


2 lbs. of fresh mushrooms, 2 tbsp. of butter, 1/3 cup of diced onion, 1/2 cup of diced mushroom stems, 1 small box of frozen spinach, 1/2 lb. of Monterey Jack cheese that has beed grated, 1/2 pound of sausage. (I like Italian style).

Clean mushrooms and remove the stems, Sauté onions and stems in butter. Cook sausage and drain well. In a saucepan, cook spinach, then drain. Mix all ingredients. Stuff mushrooms, and place in a greased baking dish. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.


1 lb of cooked Italian style sausage that has been drained and crumbled, 1 cup of chopped onion, 1/2 cup of sharp shredded cheese, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (from wedge), 1 1/2 tsp. of oregano, 1 tsp. of garlic salt, 1 - 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, 1 - 6 oz. can of tomato paste, 3 cans of flaky biscuits (Hungry Jack brand).

Combine all the ingredients (except the biscuits, of course). Separate each biscuit into 3 pizza rounds and spread with the mixture. Put the little pizzas on a cookie sheet and freeze. Remove from cookie sheer and store in plastic bags. Bake frozen pizzas at 425° for 10 minutes. Makes 90.

roll style. Slice rolls into 1/2" thick wheels Chill until ready to serve.



1/2 lb. of ground beef, 1 small onion that has been chopped (1/4 cup), 2 tbs. of grated American cheese, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp. of garlic salt, 1 separated egg, 1 cup al purpose flour, 1/3 cup of water, 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1/4 tsp. of paprika, vegetable oil.

Mix the ground beef, onion, cheese, 1/4 tsp. of salt, and egg white; reserve. Mix flour, egg yolk, water, 1/2 tsp. of salt and paprika until a soft dough forms. Knead on floured surface until dough is elastic (about 2 minutes). Divide dough in half. Roll half into a 12" square, about 1/16 inch thick. Cut in 2 inch squares. Fill each square with a scant tsp. beef mixture. Moisten edges and fold into triangles. Pinch edges together. Repeat with remaining dough. Heat oil (1 inch) to 400° in a 10 inch skillet. Fry wrap-ups until golden brown (about 45 seconds) drain. Serve hot or cold.


1 - 15 oz can of chili, 1 - 15 oz ocan of beef tamales, 24 oz of Velveeta cheese that has been chunked, 2 tsp of Worcestshire sauce.

Melt Velveeta and add chili. Mash tamales and add with cheese and chili. Add Worcestshire sauce and heat. Serve warm with tortilla chips.


1 - 8 oz. package of cream cheese, 1 tsp. of Italian seasoning, 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese, 3/4 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese, 1 - 8 oz. can of pizza sauce, 2 tsp. of chopped green pepper, 2 tsp. of sliced green onions, bread sticks.

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine cream cheese and Italian seasoning and spread in the bottom of a samll baking dish. Combine cheeses. Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture over the cream cheese, spread pizza sauce over cheese. Top with remaining cheese, peppers and onions. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbling around the edges. Serve hot with bread sticks.


16 oz. of cream cheese, 8 oz. of sour cream, 8 oz of shredded Cheddar cheese, 4 oz. of sliced black olives, 4 green onions that have been chopped, 8 oz. of shaved ham or turkey, 1/8 tsp. of seasoned salt, flour tortillas.

Mix all ingredients except tortillas. Spread mixture on tortillas and tightly roll jelly-roll style. Slice rolls into 1/2" thick wheels Chill until ready to serve.
