Early life/ Education:
Late Mrs. Chinwendu Belle-Brown (Nnenne Nkuma) was born on 28th April 1974 to Late Chief Nkuma Kalu Nkuma and Mrs. Regina Nkuma Kalu of Ndi Ebe, Amogudu Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia-state. Young beautiful Chinwendu attended Abiriba Central school where she obtain her F.S.L.C in 1987. She attended National Vocational Academy Abiriba (NAVAC) but she left NAVAC and enrolled in Progress Commercial College Isukwuato where she obtained her S.S,.C.E in 1993.
Work and Further Education:
Chinwendu was a hardworking lady who loved education but she had nobody to sponsor her education to desirable heights. Consequently, Immediately she completed her secondary school, she moved to live with her father who was living in Aba Abia-state at the time. She worked in some private offices before her uncle Chief Okebulu Jombo employed her to work for him in his company. But her Vocational and Commercial skills made her exceptionally good in the labour market. That is the reason she was easily employed by Federal Inland Renew Service in August 1997 as Typist II. She then went for COMPRO exam and passed so she was promoted to Clerical officer. Her love for educational made her enroll in Institute of Administration Lagos where she obtained her A.C.I.A in 2002. She further studied at Chartered Institute of Taxation where she obtained her A.C.T.I in 2007. As she acquired new qualifications, plus her hard work /commitment to work, so was her promotion in FIRS. Consequently, before her death she was the deputy manager of her department in FIRS.
Nnenne Njkuma got married to Mr. Belle-Brown in October 2009 However,. The marriage had it issues. It was after her marriage that she reported she had leiomyoma which medical experts advised her was a surgical risk because of its multiple nature. Therefore, she said should would not go for surgery because of the risk involved..
Chinwendu is a member of some social group like the age grade in Abiriba, Utotu Enyi among others. She is a member of the Presbyterian church of Nigeria where she has been recognized for her exceptional service and commitment to religious activities. One of such recognition is the award of “Faithful mother of CGIT” awarded by CGIT St. Andrew’s Presbyterian church Amogudu parish.in 2013.
She died on 19th February 2022 while undergoing surgical removal of leiomyoma of which her family was not aware of her decision /day to undergo the surgery.
