There is much joy in being the Father of a little boy

When we forget to play we begin to grow old

Sonshine!! My whole world was eclipsed last evening at 9:00 p.m. sharp as a brightness fell across my dark shadows, unshaven a warm glow split the craggy face I call my own into a crescent smile as my six year old kissed me goodnight this tiny piece of me who spun off in a stellar explosion of immense proportions some 81 months ago the same son around which I now gravitate to always pulled much closer to his light watching my dark side spliced asunder in the overwhelming intensity of his love now the Man-In-The-Moon is me basking in the splendour of my tiny son \\\\ \/ //// > O < //// /\ \\\\~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dreams Left Undone. Imagination calls me I can hear it's whispers plainly after all these years it's waited to reclaim the fun we've shared ~ it comes to me disguised on stubby legs with tousled hair somersaulting through the leaf piles chased by giggles mixed with pleas that I join in full abandon with my five year old companion tumbling headfirst into remnants of the summer with my son ~ First pretending we are tigers on the prowl in hidden foliage then becoming large bulldozers plowing through the mounds of humus ~ in an instant battling armies using sticks to fire volleys celebrating our great victories with confetti bits of Awe-dom ~ far too soon we clamber upward brushing off debris left clinging hand in hand we march together back to the real world, supper calls ~ But I still can smell that sweet scent of those leaves we crushed beneath us that hid sentimental moments left behind when I was small ~ Imagination calls me and no longer will I linger with my son we'll both go chasing all the dreams I've left undone. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
