Environment... What Does That Have To Do With Me?
The environment that we live in - meaning our immediate surrounding, vary - depending on where we are in a given moment of time.
Therefore our environment is ever changing and we must constantly make adjustments as needed, to ensure the best possible environment or circumstances that we find ourselves surrounded by.
An environment is a space... be it our home, where we work, where we play, shop, engage with society, etc... In essence, it is our community or the environment of which we live and breath each and every day of our lives upon this planet in.
Therefore, as individuals... we are able to create the type of environment for our lives - through using our individual choice, to then add to the whole. What determines the overall environment of a given situation - is the ability of those making individual choices to affect others in the near surroundings - ultimately creating the environment.
Thus, creating a space, be it our homes, community, etc.. into an environment or community - that is acceptable for all to enjoy.

Influencing Our Environment As Individuals...
What kind of an environment then, can we say - that we actually help to create? An environment is a space... be it our home, where we work, how and where we play... for our choice of recreation or entertainment. Our environments are created, by those of us - who occupy that space.
How does a choice or action by one individual occupying the same space or territory - affect you and your quality of life within the same environment?
As we observe our communities as one environment, we can easily take note of the compilation of individual choices by choice - that help us all to create an acceptable and even enjoyable environment to live in.
An environment then, can actually take on the elements and characteristics of those who act and make choices within the environment - those choices that are compatible and acceptable within the whole.
In order to maintain a positive environment, in any situation - each individual may choose to comply or be courteous and even obedient to specific requests asked, rules made up - or laws that are designated by those within a specific area or environment. The choice is ours.
DO NOT! OKAY! FINE... I WON'T!
- DO NOT ENTER
- DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS
- DO NOT OPEN
- DO NOT CALL
- DO NOT REMOVE
- DO NOT ENTER
- DO NOT TURN
- DO NOT PASS
- DON'T DRINK WATER
- DO NOT CROSS
- DO NOT RESUSCITATE
If People Would Just Do... Please!
Here are where rules, laws, requests, courtesy, respect, and responsibility of each individual in society - really has a powerful effect in each others total environment.
What we as do as a family, a group or society of individuals - when gathered in the same space; how we act using our individual choice - is the very process of creating an environment for the whole group of which we are engaging. It is this process of making choices of what and what not to do that brings us to a quality environment that all find acceptable together - that we are able to create that which is most important to the whole group or family or circumstance.
What is decided to be positive in one environment and acceptable - may not be in another, but in our total environment we find that there are quite a few "rules" to the total game - that really do affect each of our well-beings within our environment that we all share.
The do and don'ts of our environment and the requests that we please do not - do... are the ways in which a positive environment for each of us as individuals is not only created, but maintained for the benefit of everyone.
Through the process of our positive choices on behalf of everyone - we are creating a place to live, work, play, learn and eventually die - that is a gift not only in the present, but for those in the future to then enjoy.
What we find, is that the single small choices of individuals daily - ultimately create the environment of the hole in any given circumstance of our lives... thus creating our happy factor.
I don't smoke and maybe you do... this is a tough one for the environment all over right now. Some feel it is about health overall, even the very air we breath - and some just are offended by smoke and don't think it is fair that they must be subjected to it everywhere they go in their environment.
LIST OF RULES... WHY SO MANY?
WHAT WE "CAN" DO! FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT....
- PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS BELIEFS
- PLEASE BE EDUCATED
- PLEASE BE HONEST
- PLEASE BE HELPFUL
- PLEASE BE SINCERE
- PLEASE BE COURTEOUS
- PLEASE BE GRATEFUL

Order Out Of Chaos...
What just really bugs you and what rules must be complied with by everyone... can be made laws to ensure a nice environment? When we observe our surroundings - we will notice that there are reminders everywhere of how we are to behave in society in order to maintain an orderly environment for everyone. Unfortunately, there are always a few... that think they are the exception to many of these.
Rules create order out of chaos or individual preferences of personal action.
So, majority rules in any environment. Within the walls and backyard of my house... the rule is NO SMOKING! Done.
In and around our communities... the enforcement will vary depending on the voice of whole.
In society then - within our larger environment and communities - we have small efforts to create acceptable living spaces, and we have the community at large which must find a way to make it known to all residents - what is required or is expected behavior of individuals - to maintain a nice environment for everyone. And is at times demanded if the voices are loud and united... by not only making polite request - but enacting coercive laws if necessary!
"No man is an Island" is a phrase that is used to remind one another - that what we do and how we act - affects all those in the near vicinity of another. It can be those close in physical proximity or it can also be those that are close to us emotionally, that affect and have effect on our total environment.
What kinds of an environment then, can we say - that we actually help to create? An environment is a space... be it our home and town, where we work, how and where we play... for our choice of social interaction, recreation, education, etc...
The environment that we is created in any given space - has everything to do with those individuals that actually occupy that very space or environment.

Yes, what we do always has an effect on others or our environment. And true enough, it brings order to chaos (I like that) :-) So I guess people have come up with different rules to cope with different situations.
