Charles Philip Arthur George known as Charles III was born in Buckingham Palace on 14 November 1948. His mother Queen Elizabeth II acceded the throne in 1952 making him ( Prince of Wales) heir apparent to the throne.

He acceded the throne of the United Kingdom on 8 September 2022 after the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II the longest-serving monarch who reigned for 70 years.

Queen Elizabeth II is the Former Queen of the United Kingdom, she was born on the 21 of April 1926 and died on 8 September 2022.

She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states and became Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms on 6 February 1952 .
She reign for 70 years 214 days making her the longest of any British monarch . Elizabeth was the first child of Duke and Duchess of York the late king George VI and Elizabeth the queen mother.

Her father acceded the throne after his brother King Edward VIII abdicated the throne. Her father King George VI later died in his fifties making a young Elizabeth queen at 25.

King Charles III succeeded his mother as the head of 14 Commonwealth realms, and at 73 he is the oldest person to accend the British throne.

A Commonwealth realm is regarded as a sovereign state in the Commonwealth of Nations they have a shared monarch head of state. As of 2022 there are 15 Commonwealth realms and 56 independent member states.

His military career in active duty was from 1971–1976 at the service branch of the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

A known Philanthropist he founded the Prince's Trust in 1976, and established 16 more charitable organisations known as the Prince's Charities in both Canada and United Kingdom. He is also a patron of 400 other charities.

Family history

Charles III of the United Kingdom father was Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark. He was the son of Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark and Princess Alice of Battenberg.

While his mother Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is the daughter of George VI of the United Kingdom and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
