Arts and Crafts Gifts for 5 and 6 Year Old Girls
At the age of 5 and 6, girls are still into arts and crafts, but now there is a shift from finger painting to fingernail painting. They still love crafts, but there needs to be a "grown up" aspect to it. Here are my top picks from color-in tattoos to make-your-own purses.

I refused to do the American Girl thing forever, but it turns out they're very well made and there's a great story associated with them. My daughter learned a lot about American history with hers. Having said that, I made her earn the money to buy it herself (well, from allowance) to make myself feel better about the $100 it cost.
