Queen Amidala's Handmaiden's Costume from Star Wars: Episode
The Handmaidens in Star Wars Episode I were designed with a vertical line in mind.
The main costume the Handmaidens wear, along with Queen in disguise Padme Amidala, is an orange to yellow ombre velvet hooded robe dress. It has red sleeves which has a corded trim detail in Amidala's insignia, a red under shirt, hat, and a red velvet waist scarf.
It's unstated yet elegant. Since the upper portion is orange and the fades into yellow it reads more orange than yellow.

Chandramukhi's casual orange costume from Devdas
In the 2002 version of Devdas, courtesan Chandramukhi, played by Madhuri Dixit, wears a lovely yet casual costume when Paro, Devdas' childhood sweetheart, confronts her on Devdas' welfare.
It consists of a flowing skirt, a scarf and a choli. The metallic trim make this costume stands out. It's a silver gold color that blends in and contrast nicely.

Lucy's Nightgown from Dracula (1992)
In the 1992 version of Dracula (a.k.a the Keanu Reeve version), Lucy, played by Sadie Frost, is lured out her bed and get bitten by Dracula.
As she is being lured into the night she wears an orange corset with ruffle details, a long skirt and a sheer cape. It has sexy edge to it but the cape and ruffle gives the costume a hint of innocence all while the color suggests she is being tainted but not fully there yet.

Queen Amidala's Senate Costume from Star Wars Episode I
This is one of stranger costumes worn by Queen Amidala in Episode I. Played by Natalie Portman, Queen Amidala wears this costume when she is addressing the Senate.
This costume that is very Mongolian in style especially with the headpiece. The costume is composed of a dark red robe with a green weave and has with golden trim that has a padded effect, rose details and ruching.
The underdress is made of taffeta that also has a green weave. It has antique beaded lace.
This costume is rich, opulent and elegant all while being slightly odd.

Lucilla from Gladiator
Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) in Gladiator wears a white dress which is covered by two oranges wrap along with a veil while she attends senate and placates her brother.
One wrap has paisley and golden dots and has a scallop edge with a gold trim. The second wrap is darker and it trimmed with a red fringe which is edged with a gold and black trims.
The veil that covers her head is attach to a laurel diadem. It is the brightest orange and is sheer. It has a three Gold circle pattern.
The effect of this costume that it is elegant and powerful but in a covert way.

When Sibylla, played by Eva Green, Queen of Jerusalem, is introduced in The Kingdom of Heaven, she is wearing a multilayer costume.
The hooded robe has bullion embroidery. There is a lot going on with this costume with lots fabric, trim and jewelry but it all coalesces into striking costume.

Mrs. Coulter from The Golden Compass
Mrs. Coulter, played by Nicole Kidman, in The Golden Compass. She is cold, sophisticated, manipulative and selfish.
This golden beige dress showcases these traits perfectly. The dress is strapless gown with minimal edging details along the bodice.
This dress harken old Hollywood glamour. This dress was used in the promotion of the film.

Queen Isabel from The Fountain
The Fountain is a singular movie as it's set across time. One of the most memorable scenes is when film shift to Spain in the 16th century where Queen Isabel, played by Rachel Weisz, asks a conquistador to find the Tree of Life.
The costume she wears in stunning and opulent. It made from from mostly gold brocade. The dress' overskirt have tree appliques. The underskirt has gold panel that makes up the front and the rest is back. The bodice is made from Gold and darker gold fabric that has a heavy floral pattern. The over-sleeves is burn-out velvet that is lined with puff paint. The under-sleeves consists of puffs with cut-out that shows silver fabric. The cuffs on the under-sleeves are covered in bullion.
This costume is so detailed and rich that it hard to ignored its regal beauty and splendor.
