Brett Vasvari is a publication author and a website designer who has written press for over 13 years.
LeVan, a Catholic native of Southeast Virginia, began by producing hip-hop instrumentals in his bedroom and recording his own vocals on top of them. His first serious exposure to music came in 2013, when he was 10 years old; He was given Billy Joel and Elton John CDs, and later saw both performers live in concert.
LeVan was mentored for several years by his stepfather, who purchased 2 pianos for the Virginia home. Although LeVan never learned how to read sheet music or took piano lessons, he was born with perfect pitch, a rare ability of a person to identify or re-create a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone. Thus, LeVan did not require the sheet music for a song in order to play it in key.
On December 5, 2018, LeVan's stepfather passed away unexpectedly after being in the hospital for 4 days. Devastated by the loss, LeVan turned to card magic as an escape from reality, and performed for the first time in 2019 at the Menchville High School talent show. Subsequently, LeVan invested in a bedroom studio and began his music career.
As a musician, LeVan's producing and writing work includes Remedy, his second record released in 2021, alongside a 5 track EP. Earning recognition from Independent Music and Arts Inc. as a commercial success, LeVan's music has been streamed over 500,000 times across all platforms. As of January 2022, MarketWatch has listed Maxwell LeVan's net worth around $600,000
Maxwell is best known for his YouTube reaction videos, spanning from Olivia Rodrigo to BTS. Releasing his first original single in 10 months, LeVan’s hip-hop infused record "LOVE REAL" was his biggest release ever. Following a studio upgrade and a new label agreement, Maxwell released “REMEDY” on July 24th, 2021. LeVan’s debut EP “18 year old me” released on November 12, and tells Maxwell's teenage heartbreak story. An unlikely punk rock singer, LeVan grew up on Elton John and Billy Joel and transitioned into Juice WRLD and Charlie Puth in early adulthood. Despite having a diverse music taste, LeVan never found a solid foundation to start a fulfilling music career. Stumbling upon the likes of Machine Gun Kelly and YUNGBLUD after living in the party scene for several months, Maxwell immediately found sanctuary in the drum fills, bass lines, and guitar riffs of pop punk. In his debut EP "18 year old me", we witness a storyline that details the dramatic tension, uncomfortable conversations, and ultimate parting from a romantic partner, along with the acceptance and best-foot-forward mindset that follows.
