Sanity - A State of Mind
Let me just grab my hat and I'll be on my way.
A state of mind is like a dark cupboard, very spooky if you don't know what's in there. Worse too, if you keep hearing weird banging noises every once in a while.
OMG! Just stop talking. You're making me crazier than usual. And the banging? I can account for that. Oh yes, I can.
Easy Couch Workouts
Badge of Crazy Honor
The short days of winter have an effect as well. Thank the goddess for Springtime!
A hard day at work or commuting can set off the depression alarm. Watch out for that circle of depressive thinking. When you see the circle, interrupt it at all costs. It might seem like a forever thing, but it is not.
How To Tell If You Are Crazy
Crazy As Fuck
Embrace the crazy. It is okay to be crazy. I hereby proclaim it. If permission is what you need, that is something you can give to yourself, permission to breathe air, permission to live, permission to be you. I give you permission to be crazy as fuck.
I laugh about it; but depression is a serious and dangerous disease. 80 MG. Prozac works for me, and I am ever so grateful. I also kick it with 5 MG. Abilify a day. And I kick it with a couple of marijuana brownies most days around 5 P.M. And some days, I kick the whole thing off with a spoonful or two of crushed up magic mushrooms. Those are the good days!
Just like magic!
Leslie Nielsen Comedies Can Help With Depression
Affirmations Can Help With Depression
Don't give up, try affirmations, they helped me. Affirmations are positive statements, said or written repeatedly, until they are a fact.
Even in the really bad times, a string of words can bring comfort. The rhythm of the words can be something to grab onto.
As an example, I am a wonderful person is an affirmation.
I walk with the goddess today.
I walk in the light today.
I will laugh today if it kills me!

Coo coo for cocoa puffs.
Maurice Glaude from Mobile on August 19, 2012:
Oh and I meant to say something about the Affirmations. I truly believe in those and use them when the walls are closing in. I like to think of them like magic spells that transform the impossible. And what do know, a spell that works.
Maurice Glaude from Mobile on August 19, 2012:
That quiz was insane and even though I thought I was answering them correctly I failed.
Frischy from Kentucky, USA on August 14, 2012:
I squeaked through on the sane side, but barely. It was suggested I study harder. lol... Personally, I think sanity is overrated.
vegetablegardenh on July 11, 2012:

My father was bi-polar; yet he managed to hold down a job his whole life (I admired that). What's normal anyway?
Anna2of5 on May 01, 2012:
Interesting...I think I'm saner than most, most days.
Nancy Carol Brown Hardin from Las Vegas, NV on March 04, 2012:
I think we all have our "crazies," just in different ways. Even the greatest psychiatrists are not totally sane...otherwise they wouldn't be psychiatrists! LOL
Richard from Surrey, United Kingdom on February 08, 2012:
I thought I was crazy, but your test tells me otherwise. Cancelling that doc's appt next week ;)
grannysage on February 07, 2012:
I'm on a Ray Bradbury kick today so I leave you with these words of wisdom. ""Insanity is relative. It depends on who has who locked in what cage."
Zut Moon on February 07, 2012:
OK ... I got 50% ... so ..now what .... sane or insane ..... ???
Pam Irie from Land of Aloha on February 07, 2012:

viscri8 on May 26, 2011:

anonymous on May 24, 2011:
According to your Test, I am 25% Crazy, it that Good or Bad?
anonymous on May 23, 2011:
Loved it. I'm not locked up, but maybe I should be! Thanks for a fun lens! I've always agreed with those people who ask "Why be normal?"

moonlitta on May 17, 2011:
I'd tell you but the bars are stopping me...:)

Sanity is highly overated.

@gypsyman27 lm: I've found that sanity leaves a lot to be desired. I never have fit into that square peg very well.
gypsyman27 lm on May 12, 2011:
Well most of the great discoveries of the world were made by people that were not supposed to be sane. So, it must be good to not be sane!? See you around the galaxy...
Linda Hahn (author) from California on May 11, 2011:
@anonymous: That's what my educational background stands on.
anonymous on May 06, 2011:
I am certainly abnormal and I take that as a compliment. Abnormal after all is 'Above Normal'. :)

Snakesmom on April 25, 2011:

anonymous on April 20, 2011:
Yup, I'm crazy- went nuts from a combo of time-bomb genetics and sleep loss. Bipolar 2 is the dx. I currently take pdoc ordered Seroquel, which helps the roller coaster even out a bit (a lot, actually). But I'm still me, still very creative, still can't stop me once I've got my teeth in a bone -:)
C A Chancellor from US/TN on April 03, 2011:
Glad to hear that Prozac works for you. Depression is a terrible condition to have. I just switched meds again and I'm hoping this one will do the job better than the last one.
Linda Hahn (author) from California on April 02, 2011:

part of me says a and part of me says b but the part that makes me tick keeps me locked in my psychic prison.
