Bad days are inevitable. In order to cope with your stresses in life, whether it's personal or professional, we need to make a way to cool down our head without the need to go out or spend money for unnecessary things. That's the reason why I'm here to share with you one of my ways on how to cope with your lonely days... it is to watch a series that will definitely make you cry from laughter!!!
Laughter in Waikiki Season 1
If I were to record how many times I laughed while watching this series, it might take more than 20 episodes. This drama is so hilarious and you will not regret watching every minute of it. The characters are funny and shameless (in a good way). Hands down to the writers who made a very very very fun and interesting script. Also, to the actors who were in this series, specifically Lee Jun Ki's character. I can't imagine how they came up with such twists and silly scenarios. In every episode, there's always something to look forward, and it's such a refreshing drama that it makes you crave for it every day. I swear, this is an addicting series. In my 9 years of experience in watching K-dramas, this is the best comedy series I've ever watched. Definitely recommended!
Kill Me, Heal Me
This is a funny series with a hint of mystery and painful story line but, I assure you that you will still enjoy this! The flow of this story was well-planned and it has an interesting plot that would also add up to your interest. If you're into psychological drama, then this is also perfect for you. The male lead has a Multiple Personality Disorder--yes, it sounds serious but, they managed to formulate the characters so well, in a way that it will give you a different perspective along the way. Not yet convinced? See the attached photo above to make up your mind ;) who wouldn't love to see Ji Sung acting so cutesy and all, right?
She Was Pretty
If you're done watching Kill Me, Heal Me or vice versa, you will be familiar with the leads in this series. Knowing that Choi Si Won is part of this drama, you should expect that it's going to be a funny one--although I feel sad for him because he's just a second male lead in this series. The male lead might look mean and arrogant at first but, you'll love him along the way. Si Won and Jung Eum made this drama a refreshing one. You will definitely enjoy their bond and silly moments together.
Oh My Ghost
Who would've thought ghost stories could be fun to watch? Well, maybe because no one could resist Park Bo Young's cuteness. If you think women should not make the first move, then think again. Even the ghost can do it, why won't you? The highlight of this drama was the scene where the ghost keeps on harassing the chef to make love with him. This is really a fun drama, although there were dark scenes because as the story goes on, they will slowly reveal the reason behind Kim Seul Gi's death--which was the ghost who possessed Park Bo Young's character.
Spring Turns To Spring
Have you watched Secret Garden? The style of the story is the same. It's about body switching. The difference is that, they have the same gender. Bomi is a fierce and selfish news anchor, while Bom was a famous actress but she retired to focus on her family. They both have different personalities, which led them to a lot of complications. But then, they have decided to team up to resolve their personal issues while on the process of resolving their body's mystery. Lee Yoo Ri was soooo hilarious here. I really wish to see her work with Nam Goong Min. It's gonna be a bomb!
Beautiful Gong Shim
It's Nam Goong Min, every one. He's one of my favorite actors in Korean entertainment industry. I mean, he can be the worst antagonist in the K-drama history but, he can also be the funniest one. Goong Min's acting skills is beyond my expectations and mark my word, you will enjoy his dramas. Also, the main couple here had a good chemistry, which is a must for a romantic comedy drama. They're like a dog and cat but eventually, they will learn to love each other.
Yes, it's Nam Goong Min again. The setting here is different. Chief Kim is an epic character here. He tried to be a bad man but the result was always a good deed. At first, he hated it. He wanted to be selfish, but as time passes by, he realizes the worth of being kind. Then, he did everything that he can to turn down the corrupt company where he's currently employed with the help of his team. His silly actions made the drama a fun series to watch despite the conspiracy revolving around him.
Laughter in Waikiki Season 2
Laughter in Waikiki's Season 2 is not as wonderful as the Season 1 but I still assure you that this is fun (not as fun as the season 1 though). There were changes in the characters (except Lee Jun Ki who's still struggling to become a famous actor), that's why there's a chance for you to become a bit unfamiliar. But then, Lee Jun Ki saves the dayyyy. His acting is superb!!! The new actors in this series also tried their best to make it a fun drama so, you must give it a try ;-D
Marriage, Not Dating
This drama is a bit old. I watched it when I was still in high school so, I cannot remember the highlight of each episode. However, it made a mark on my mind which is the reason why I clearly remember how much I had fun watching it. If you're new to K-drama, you're probably not familiar with the female lead's face but I'm telling you, she nailed this drama. It's a typical fake-dating-dog-cat-fight but that's the reason why it's so fun to watch. Aside from that, they did not only focus on the main couple, there were also side romance, which you will surely enjoy.
If you are into dark humor, then this is perfect for you. It revolves around live-in couples and their daily lives. It's a fun and realistic drama. There's also bromance here!!! (they are super handsome). In this series, you get to know the reality of being in a long term relationship. You might learn a lot from them when it comes to relationship so, better watch it! :>
Aside from the dramas I've mentioned above, there are still lots of Korean dramas that you might find fun and interesting. However, I did not include those because you might find it too serious or disheartening. Also, I tried my best not to include the popular ones, maybe you've already seen it elsewhere. If you want a refreshing and chill drama, try to search for a Korean web series. It's fun to watch during holidays or rest days.
Thanks for dropping by! :>
