Jensen Ackles, how do we love thee, let us count the ways ...
Ahem. Okay, we're not actually crazy, and we have no intention of rewriting a perfectly good poem in his honor. We'll leave that to his Danneel Ackles.
We are, however, definitely ... appreciative (yeah, that's the best word for it). So, here's a tongue-in-cheek look at some of the things we appreciate most about this beautiful man.

Jensen Ackles Movies & TV Shows
Jensen is best known as one of the stars of the CW's cult hit Supernatural, where he played Dean, the elder of the two ghost-busting Winchester brothers. The show lasted for 15 seasons, with the series finale airing on November 19, 2020.
Supernatural Prequel, The Winchesters
However, in June 2021, the CW announced a Supernatural prequel series was in development! Entitled The Winchesters, the series will focus on Sam and Dean's parents, John and Mary, and is executive produced by Ackles, his wife Danneel (who portrayed Anael on Supernatural), and series writer Robbie Thompson.
Jensen reprises his role as Dean, but only as narrator. The CW ordered it to series, and its first season appeared in its fall 2022 schedule.
Other Roles
Ackles had recurring roles as Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives, Alec (X5-494) on Dark Angel, C.J. on Dawson's Creek, and Jason Teague on Smallville. He also appeared in a few mostly forgettable films, the most interesting being the Marilyn Monroe biopic, Blonde. Granted, it involves Jensen dancing in a kimono and having a drunken threesome with "Marilyn" and "Cass," aka Grey's Anatomy's Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey.
(Ah, crossover bliss. Now if only we can get Jensen on-screen with Gina Torres, Katee Sackhoff, or Claudia Black, I could die happy ...)

1. You Can Play Connect-the-Dots With His Freckles

2. He Sings
Guys who sing are hot. It's just a fact of life.
Especially guys who sing well, which he reportedly does.
The above video was taken by a fan at the Asylum Convention in England in 2007. Jensen's friend Jason Manns gave a concert there, and Jensen sang backup for "Crazy Love."
Jason has since persuaded Jensen to record a version of the song together, which can be heard (and downloaded) on SoundCloud.
3. He's a Scruffmuffin
Jensen absolutely nails the whole "rugged and disheveled" look, especially with that ginger beard of his (which IMDB labels as one of his "trademarks," along with his husky voice ... *swoon*).

4. ... But He Cleans Up Well
Jensen has made many appearances on red carpets and in high-brow public film events. I mean, he has won seven awards, including a Critic's Choice Super Award for "Best Actor in a Horror Series" (2021) and even an SFX Award for "Sexiest Man" (2013).
For many of us, he'll be holding that title for a long time.
5. He's a Closeted Dork
And sometimes not-so-closeted. Supernatural co-star Jared Padalecki is especially good at bringing the goofball out in Jensen.

Jared Padalecki is Jensen's co-star and bro BFF, who also started acting at a young age. Known primarily for his role as Dean Winchester's brother, Sam, Jared also played "Dean Forester" in Gilmore Girls, along with many other roles throughout the years. Oh, and he's 6'4".
Jensen and Jared are known for their bromance off-screen. Jensen is even quoted saying, "I would jump in front of a bullet for him and not think twice." Sooo sweet.

6. He Makes Bow Legs Look Hot
Sometimes, photographers try to hide the fact that he has bow legs, but we fans know better. Own 'em, Jensen. Bow legs are adorable!

"Bow legs" is a condition that some individuals are born with. Those with this condition have legs that curve outwards so that even when the ankles are touching, the knees don't connect.

7. He Rides ... Ponies
Well, horses actually, but Supernatural costar Jared Padalecki, who is the world's most gentle giant, calls them ponies, and ponies is more fun.
There's just something about a guy who rides horses. Maybe it's my own horsiness coming out, but at the very least, any guy who's good with horses is gonna have great hands and a voice like, well, like Jensen's, for example. Deep and soothing. Yummy.
8. His Lips Are X-Rated
I'm not going to go into any great detail about this 'cause there are better things to do.
Like, look at them.
We can keep going here for, ah, quite a long time, but I guess we'll call it quits for now. Just one more, 'cause we can't talk about his lips without digging up at least one picture of the famous "ducky lips."

10. He Can Actually Act
In the end, this is what it really comes down to. In Hollywood, hot guys are a dime a dozen. If you watch enough TV and movies (or even relatively little, like me), you get almost blind to them, because everybody's beautiful. Your eyes register the pretty face, but if that's all it is, you forget about it almost as soon as it's offscreen.
His Talent Outshines Poor Writing
In order to be remembered, you need to be more than just a freak genetic accident that happens to produce perfect cheekbones, a chiseled jaw, and a long-lashed pair of pretty green eyes. And Jensen is. His charisma pretty much oozes from the screen, whatever his role, and he's got talent too.
I'd be the first to admit that his roles have not always had the highest quality writing that money can buy, but his talent has been able to turn some really banal and sometimes outright crappy lines into something that means more.
His Role as Dean Was Phenomenal
And when the writing has been good, well. Supernatural's writers are not perfect (their handling of exposition in particular sometimes makes me want to beat my head against a wall), but one thing they do really, really well is family dynamics.
Jensen has absolutely shone in his role as Dean, the "good son" of the Winchester family who, despite his wisecracking bravado and penchant for muscle cars, mullet rock, and women, acted practically as a surrogate wife for his revenge-obsessed father after his mother was killed, and, from the age of four, raised his younger brother almost entirely on his own.

I would actually give everything just to have him smile at me... surely, his smile can make the coldest person in the world to melt. I love this and I love Jensen Ackles. I've never seen an actor who has so much chemistry with every single one of his cast mates; it's pretty incredible. He has very expressive eyes and he throws his whole body into the character. And also, he is just freakin gorgeous all around. I'm not a Jensen Ackles fan cause of his looks because, well, I'm not gay (though I must admit, he is dreamy.) I am a fan because of his bad ass portrayal of Dean Winchester in Supernatural. He's one of my all-time favorite fictional characters in fact.
Anyway, I came across this hub by chance and I am forced to wonder if Mr. Ackles is safe, or if his drop-dead gorgeous wife should be watching her back in public for fear of a certain hubpage writer attacking her out of jealousy.

I’ve read all the comments for the “10 Reasons to Droll over…” hubs for both Jensen and Jared and I wanted to address the “who has better sex scenes” debate on the Jared hub. I think Dean’s sex scenes should be more fun… I want to see him have food sex, like getting smeared with cream pie on his torso. (When I say “cream pie”, I mean the kind you buy in the store, not the icky porno definition.) Jensen Ackles is the hottest man on the planet portraying a sex addict with a pie fetish; I can’t be the only person who’s thought this. He doesn’t have to be wrestling naked in cream pie filling (only in my dreams and fanfic;) he could have a love scene with a hot chick that smears some coconut or banana cream pie on his chest and arms and licks it off his shoulders, maybe he could lick some off her neck (see, it can be tasteful.) It could be his wife guest starring for all I care (she’s a babe, I approve.) The point of a sex scene is to be able to live vicariously through it, right? Well, at the very least, I want to see Dean get to eat a slice of cream pie (i.e., the “Shut Up Dr. Phil” episode.) I never wanted to kick Sam’s ass until he brought in that bag of rotting chicken feet...

I went to Blockbuster and rented SPN season 1 out of boring. What caught my eyes most is Jensen/Dean. He has a charm that captures women of all ages (I am in middle-age). He is a very talented actor too.
If he can get more great roles besides SPN, he'll be a superstar than Brad Pitt (I am not a Brad Pitt fan).
