Harry Potter Knitting Patterns

Harry Potter Knits

The Harry Potter movies have brought hand knit scarves to a new height. Knitting is also featured in the books, but it is hard to bring a brief description of Hermione's elf hats to reality. Dozens of Harry Potter fans watch the movies, and then covet the knitwear shown in snowy shots. They have taken the time to reverse design these patterns, enabling the rest of us to re-create these items for ourselves.

This lens will focus on Harry Potter knitting patterns; some inspired by the movies, and others inspired by the whole series. Look below, and you will also see some of the Harry Potter items that I've created myself!

'No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines,' said Dumbledore. 'I do love knitting patterns.'

Free Harry Potter Knitting Patterns

So I am aware that the book Charmed Knits: Projects for Fans of Harry Potter exists, but I was curious what types of free patterns are available. I did this search at the beginning of the life of my blog, and that that the patterns were worth sharing again in this lens. If you would like to see descriptions of each of the free patterns, visit my Search for Free Harry Potter Knitting Patterns.
