Comfort And Joy Christmas Movie Review
I Loved the Christmas Movie Comfort and Joy
Lifetime Original's Comfort and Joy Christmas movie is a romantic comedy...definitely a chick flick. One day, when the menfolk abandoned our television room, I settled in with a blanket and my favorite popcorn to watch.
The story in Comfort & Joy tells of the life of a woman who is so busy with her work life that she has no time for a personal life. She is so busy, as a matter of fact, that she buys her Christmas presents on Christmas eve and then, naturally, messes up her purchases. Even though she doesn't know it, her busy and successful career life is not very fulfilling.
Christmas eve sees her in a minor fender bender. One that, through the magic of television and time travel, transports her into the role of a very happy Mom with a loving husband who takes great comfort in providing for her family. This experience finally allows her to see that she is not satisfied with the status quo that is her current life...

Amazon Customer Reviews of Comfort and Joy
"This is a great family movie, the plot is interesting, and has enough elements of an old fashioned Christmas to make you feel warm and sentimental. My family watches it every year at Christmas and sometimes once or twice in between. Nancy McKeon is a wonderful actress!" ~~ Daughter of Eve
"This movie starring Nancy McKeon is just great. It's not your typical Christmas movie, but takes you into a time warp where she falls in love. So, if you're into Christmas Chick Flicks, this one is for you. Dixie Carter makes the best mother-in-law and Steven Eckholdt the greatest dad/husband. McKeon, a successful advertising executive, has a car accident in front of Eckholdt's house. She wakes up to 10 years later when she's married to him and has turned into a giving, sharing, philanthropist who has given up her worldy goods to help others -- only she doesn't remember any of it." ~~ Reenee
"This is another one of those movies that I saw on TV and had to have it to watch over and over! It's a sweet family type of movie that will warm you from the inside out. I don't get tired of watching it. Nancy McKeon and all the cast do a great job. Enjoy!" ~~ L. King

Jennifer P Tanabe from Red Hook, NY on December 15, 2009:
Yes, it's one of those Lifetime movies that I've watched when there was nothing else I would have chosen! But I've actually seen it twice and enjoyed it both times - the acting is really good, and the plot isn't so bad. Comfort And Joy is really quite good as a Christmas movie for mom and the kids to watch, not sure about the dads!
