Calling all Live-Action Movie Fans!
Admit it. Sometimes, reading manga and watching anime is not enough to satisfy our intense desire to be entertained. We want to bring it in the real world. We want to see the real-life characters played by our favorite actors. The good news is, it can be brought to reality through live action movies, and this year, we'll be looking forward to the following work of arts to be shown on the big screen.
1. Kurosaki kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai
Based on a romantic comedy shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Makino, this teen-romance is set on the big screen this February 27!
The manga, which was first published February, 2014 in a shoujo magazine Bessatsu Friend, follows the story of Yu Akahane who moves into a dormitory in accordance to his father's transfer from work. She is thrilled to become neighbors with Takumi Shirakawa, also known as the "White Prince". However, a "Black Devil" appears in Yu's life, who took her very first kiss as punishment for going against him. The story then revolves around Yu playing obediently to the black devil, Haruto Kurosaki.

2. Death Note (2016)
A big surprise came out on television after the last episode of Death Note 2015 TV series, announcing that a new film is to be made following the first three movies of the said series.
People can't get enough of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata's hit manga. It's because Death Note was so-brilliantly made that a lot of adaptations were made. Other than the manga and the anime, several live actions were created. It began on 2006, when a live-action film starring Tatsuya Fujiwara (Light) and Kenichi Matsuyama (L) was produced, following a spin-off film about L, directed by Hideo Nakata entitled L: Change the World, which was released on February 9, 2008. Another production, Death Note The Musical, has it's world premiere last year in April at Nissay Theater at Tokyo.The latest production was the 2015 TV drama series starring Masataka Kubota as Light Yagami and Kento Yamazaki as L.
In this year's film, the story is set 10 years prior to the Kira incident, where the Shinigami sends death notes to the ground, emphasizing that there are 6 death notes that can be used at the same time. This time, the story takes a higher level of suspense with mass murders and a computer virus called "Kira". Can they stop Kira this time?

3. Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
It is officially set! Ayuko Hatta's "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" gets a live-action adaptation, and Sata Kyouya (Kento Yamazaki) wants his so-called girlfriend Shinohara Erika (Fumi Nikaido) to be his obedient dog!
After the success of its manga and anime production, the live action is set to be released on May 28. The story revolves on the high school life of a simple 16-year old girl named Erika and the lie she told about having a handsome boyfriend after secretly taking a photo of a very handsome guy on the street. But things get actually worse when she learned that the handsome guy is actually a student in her school! Caught by the trouble she sets for herself, she asks for Kyouya's cooperation. He agrees, however in one condition - she will act as her obedient pet dog!

After the success of its several drama adaptations, including one in Japan in 1996, Taiwan in 2005, South Korea in 2010, and another in Japan in 2013, our beloved shoujo series will have its newest and freshest movie version! The latest movie adaptation of the love story between two high school students, Kotoko Aihara and Naoki Irie will be released this fall season! Get ready to fall in love with a new combination of actors, Kanta Sato and Reina Bisa who will have their first main roles in a movie.

5. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April)
It is confirmed! Naoshi Arakawa's music-themed manga will have its movie adaptation to be released this year!
After the success of its manga series, followed by its anime series last year, the bittersweet story of Kosei Arima and Kaori Miyazono has become increasingly popular. The musical genius Kosei has won several piano competitions since childhood, primarily because of his mother's strict teachings. But after the death of his mother, Kosei lost his ability to hear the sound of his own music. He cannot play the piano anymore. However, he was able to meet a high-spirited girl, Kaori, who helped him escape the chains of his past. But Kaori, without Kosei knowing, has a strange secret, despite being a very lively person. Can Kosei face the piano again?
