Anime Community loves Death Note

Death note certainly lives up to its hype in the Anime community. This anime gives you a sense of justice, and just when you start to embrace the situation provided by its premise, it will suddenly snatch it away and replace it with a sense of evil. Suddenly you will enter into a new world generated by the new thought process of the main character but the ever-increasing tension will prevail.

Death Note is a 2006 anime adaptation of a 2003 manga. This follows the story of Light Yagami, a high school student who will come across a supernatural notebook that will grant him the ability to kill anyone, anyway he likes, just by writing their name in the notebook.

Summary

In this anime, we are introduced to Light Yagami who is a young genius with a strong sense of justice. After he discovers death note one day, his life changes completely as he learns how to use it to kill anyone. Not long after, Light encounters the previous owner of the death note, Ryuk who is a shinigami. Maintaining his composure he reveals his intentions of changing the world by freeing it of all criminals, leaving behind only the honest and kind. He also shows the intention of becoming the "God of the new world".

The sudden unexplainable deaths of so many criminals of both major and minor crimes over the span of few days caught the attention of higher authorities in the government and the famous detective, L. L proclaims war against Kira and vows to bring him down by any means necessary. Realizing that L will be his greatest obstacle, Light decides to kill L along with others who might think of opposing him. Nonetheless, things became more complicated with the appearance of second death note and shinigami in the human world, as well as L's fearless intention of revealing himself in person to the Kira he intends to capture.

This world is rotten, and those who are making it rot deserve to die. Someone has to do it, so why not me?

— Light Yagami

3 Reasons to choose Death Note as a Starter Anime

1. The Right Length:

If you're getting into anime for the first time and decide Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden as your starter, which has in all 720 episodes, I say go for it. Your patience surpasses us all.

As for people more humane and not overpowered, a 37 episode series such as death note is not a marathon. As for perks, you won't get any filler episodes.

2. First Episode Drama:

The first episodes of long-running anime are usually really good teases for what's in store for the viewers in the rest of the anime.

Meanwhile, Death Note Episode 1 is different, it includes Light Yagami finding the notebook, testing its powers, meeting Ryuk, and basically deciding that he's gonna become a God.

It includes both a hearty plot and part of the show's hook. You don't have to worry about just getting a taste for what's to come. It throws you in head-first.

3. Rivalry Between Light and L Is Epic:

Rivalry among characters in most anime will be short-lived and inconsistent. While, the rivalry between L and Light lasts over twenty episodes, without ever really giving us a breather and also never really slacking in intensity.
