Joss and Cam were a let down and the same could happen to Sprina
General Hospital fans watched Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (Will Lipton) grow up together and become best friends who fell in love and expected them to ride off into the future together. The writers however quickly tore the couple apart as their first time making love was marred by Esme Prince (Avery Kristan Pohl). She was relentless in taunting and teasing them for being virgins and pressuring them into having sex. The revenge porn videotape Esme made also played a role in pulling the couple apart. Now it looks like Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might suffer a similar fate. Joss and Cam had everyone rooting for them and now Joss is hot and heavy with Dex Heller (Evan Hofler) in a way she was not with Cameron. Joss has grown and experienced life in a way that Cam may not be able to relate to. It looks like GH is preparing for Sprina to finally get together but will they grow apart or be torn apart by everything coming their way? Spencer lied about his identity when he met Trina and misled her into believing that he thought she had taped Joss and Cam so his Cassadine methods only hurt Trina and infuriated everyone else in Port Charles.
Trina's family is over the top when it comes to Spencer
Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) has been judgmental of the Cassadine family from day one even though she has a few skeletons in her own closet. Curtis Robinson (Donnell Turner) is also wary of Spencer spending time with Trina and a few days ago Marcus Taggert (Real' Andrews) returned and said he did not want the "Cassadine kid" around his daughter. Taggert has basically been an absentee father so his daughter might throw that up in his face if he tries to steer her away from Spencer. Trina is now an adult and her family will probably push her to the point that she will ignore them and go after Spencer but he has enough drama in his life that could keep them apart. When the truth comes out that Curtis is her bio dad and not Taggert this will probably be the one thing that will bond Trina to Spencer because she will see that her own family is as flawed as his. Sprina has taken so long to play out and hit so many bumps in the road that fans might become disinterested in the couple.
The Cassadine curse
The Cassadines are thought to have a curse that causes them to always have unique problems and it does seem that way. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) slept with his son's girlfriend which is about as low as you can get. Spencer brought Esme to Port Charles and blames himself for unleashing her on his friends but refuses to reconcile with his dad. Now, unknown to everyone is the fact that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) is claiming to be the hook killer and taking revenge on those who she believes wronged her daughter. People have died because "Spence" brought his psycho girlfriend to town and Esme's shadow may always hang over Sprina. Spencer now wants to adopt Esme's unborn child and raise it far away from his or her mother and father. How far is Spencer willing to go to get his hands on his unborn sibling and could he convince Trina to marry him so they could raise the child together? The Cassadine curse, the upcoming Robinson family drama as well as choices Spencer has made could doom the couple before they ever get started. No one expected General Hospital to do so much damage to Joss and Cam so Sprina fans you have been warned.
What are the General Hospital writers thinking?
General Hospital fans are wondering what the writers have been thinking because they have busted up every teen romance since Oscar Nero (Garreb Stitt) died of a brain tumor and broke Josslyn's heart. They killed off Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) who was a fan favorite and broke up Joss and Cam before they really got started. Now it looks like they are putting so many obstacles in the way of Spencer and Trina that they might not make it in the long-run either so stay tuned.
