Tell me honestly how many of you still watch and enjoy Friends in 2022???

It has been more than 25 years since Friends aired and even today it is one of the best sitcoms. The evergreen show left such a remarkable heartwarming mark on its millions of audiences worldwide and created such high standards for future sitcoms.

Story of six friends living in New York facing different life challenges, supporting each other shown in a funny and witty way.

Back in 1994, when the show premiered, everything about it was everywhere; be it the Rachel haircut, its melodious theme song ( which makes us rock even today ), cargo pants, etc.

  • The Characters

This is the number one reason why FRIENDS was the best show ever. The viewers relate to all of the characters in some way, as each character has their own funny moments that are unforgettable, even today. Asking someone about the show and its characters would make it a hot topic of discussion even today.

Despite watching the show on repeat mode, the laughter never seems to stop. The show never makes us bored no matter how many times we watch it. It is a timeless piece, The storyline is so fresh and engaging, and it never tends to get old. With storylines like trying to find your calling in life, finding the right kind of love, falling in love with a friend, how living with a friend can tear you apart, and so on; these incidents are still big issues in our lives.

The show was such a great success and some of it is partly because of the fact that it’s true to life. Their lives, friendships, and struggles in their personal and professional life were so relatable and it made the show interesting and popular. Surely, some of them are poignant while some are hilarious, but they are witty and smart.

The show is superb when it comes to its humor, witty dialogues and expressions, and sarcasm. The cast did a splendid job by not just delivering those dialogues but the expressions along were mindblowing. The humor even relates today and could be used as catchphrases in so many places. Every episode of the show delivered a life lesson along with all the fun and humor. The most important of which is to not care so much about other people’s opinions and to have a close circle around, whom you can rely on and trust. The lesson of being who you are and not being pretentious for sake of anyone is also portrayed well in the show. We should always follow our heart and who we actually are, rather being flowing with the flow completely.

It’s impossible to talk about FRIENDS without mentioning the iconic lyrics of the show “I’ll be there for you…” These lyrics totally make sense to the show. It gives away the essence of the show It’s so addictive that sometimes your brain might start humming the song for no reason and you won’t even realize it for hours. And, we can never get over this song... Never Ever!!!

Each character has unique qualities ranging from Phoebe’s timeless songs such as Smelly Cat, Ross’s bad luck-struck love life, Chandler’s sarcastic jokes, Joey’s charming stupidity, Rachel’s passion for fashion, and Monica’s neurosis. The fans related to their situations and the characters and problems. Even today, we can relate to these characters and it is obvious that when you can relate to something then you tend to remember and love it longer.

  • Amazing Romantic Storyline

“We were on a break!” - Ross

Whenever we hear this line, we burst into laughter. Ross and Rachel's storyline was one of the highlights of the show. It was heartbreaking, but, extremely funny at the same time. How they both became lovers and then friends and back again as lovers. Like Pheobe always said, “See? He’s her lobster.”Their chemistry and their issues were so well portrayed that even today we could see similarities in our lives and theirs as well.

The romance between Monica and Chandler was top-notch. There was not a slight moment when these two would let their audience go bored. How they started, how they felt, how they progressed in their relationship, how they overcame their weaknesses and offered support to each other and so much more.

The characters' life seemed so real and progressed on a very natural note.

  • The Guest Stars

The fans waited in anticipation that who would be the next guest star on the show. Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt, Christina Applegate, Sean Penn, Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Tom Selleck, Hugh Laurie, and many more. There were some real treat to the eyes.

  • Topnotch Chemistry

Friends was a groundbreaking show. It was also way ahead of its time. There was always something for everyone to which we can relate even now. The storyline of the show was modern and relatable enough to be considered avant-garde.

The unity and chemistry among the characters on-set and off-set were amazing and we all wish to have such a group always. That craving in us and the voidness of such a group makes us attached to these six people in Central Perk and thereby makes the show a success.

  • True Friendship

"I am so happy and not at all jealous." - Rachel

We all have friends that are our lifelong forever friends. It reflects the bonding among these six friends from various backgrounds and how they all connected with each other and supported one another. They did have their differences but they did not let them affect their long-lasting friendships. Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Pheobe all were emotional and moral support for each other. The bond between Joey and Chandler is worth watching.

  • Meditation

This show is purely a meditation. Feeling low? or stressed out? This show will lift up our spirits and ease the anxiety we feel due to lots of reasons in life. Be it Chandler and Janice, Ross and Rachel, or the handsome Richard and Monica, or Rachel with Paul, every character is there to make us feel better like our own family.



The team has justified every character and given equal importance to all the main characters with equal screen time. Their comic timings are awesome and unique in their own way. There will never be another F.R.I.E.N.D.S and this chemistry.
