Wes Ramsey and Laura Wright: The Love Story Continues

A true love story

Laura Wright and Wes Ramsey first met in the early 2000s when they were both portraying characters on the CBS soap Guiding Light. At the time Wright was married and their relationship was professional only. Both actors left Guiding Light in the mid-2000s and did not see each other again until a 2017 Emmy Party, Wright was going through a divorce at the time and Ramsey told Michael Fairman TV that he took a chance and decided to ask her out. Ramsey said that he had an assertiveness that had been 15 years in the making which suggests he was smitten while they were on the CBS soap. He said he was not expecting to run into Wright but when he found out she was single he made his choice. Wright told Soap Opera Digest: “He came and picked me up, took me to the theater and then we went to a bar in this hotel lobby and went back to his apartment and sat on his patio, hanging out and talking until the sun came up,” “I don’t think he kissed me until 4 o’clock in the morning and I was like, ‘What took you so long” She added that this was her "Best first date ever"

The love story continues

Ramsey concurred with Wright in April 2020 when he shared on Instagram: "Three years ago today I had the best first date of my life. There was laughter and butterflies, deep emotional conversations & crazy intense attraction. Falling madly in love was measured more by hrs than days at that time. I knew my life was changing. At this writing, the couple has been together for 5 years and their fans simply adore them. Wright was born on September 11, 1970, and is known for her previous soap roles as Ally Rescott on Loving and The City (1995–1997), and Cassie Lynn Winslow on Guiding Light (1997–2005). She began portraying Carly Corinthos on General Hospital in 2005. Ramsey was born on October 6, 1977, and was in the romantic drama film Latter Days (2003) and portrayed Sam Spencer on Guiding Light from 2000-2004 and again in 2008. He also played Wyatt Halliwell on the WB series Charmed from 2003-2006. On General Hospital the couple has not had many scenes together but when they did it was not pretty. In their last encounter, Ramsey's character Peter August hinted he knew a secret about Carly's family which was that her husband Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fell in love with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Nixon Falls. The secret is now out and Peter had no role in the revelation. Peter's time in Port Charles is about to end but the love story between Rmasey and Wright continues,

Life is good for the couple

Although many General Hospital fans consider Wes Ramsey and Laura Wright as a super couple their union has not been with scrutiny and rumors. Some of their followers pointed out the age difference while most applauded the couple for finding each other. There were rumors in the summer of 2021 that Wright might be the actress in a major role who was reported in a blind item to be dissatisfied with her soap. It was being reported that she was disgruntled because Ramsey would soon be fired from the ABC daytime drama and that she would leave with him. Since that time Laura has shared on social media how much she loves her job and her character. It has just been revealed that Ramsey's character will be killed off sometime after February 18 but no news that his sweetie will be leaving with him. As for the disgruntled soap actress, there has been only one major departure which was Hunter King who portrayed Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless on CBS. When fans began asking if the couple were going to get married Wright gave a reply that was published revealed in Soaps nIn Depth in October 2021. "We get asked that question, I can’t tell you…” “Right now, we’re good. Life is good. We don’t really feel the need to… It’s not calling us. But we love our life and life is good.” Until further notice fans should accept this answer.
