Tyler Christopher is moonstruck
Tyler Christopher is one of those actors who leave a memorable impression on viewers and his characters are unforgettable. Tyler is a fan favorite soap vet who originated the role of Nikolas Cassadine on ABCs General Hospital and also portrayed Stefan DiMera on NBC's Days of Our Lives. He was beloved in both roles and his follower miss seeing him on screen. Fans have been keeping up with his activities and after an extended absence from social media, he popped up in June 2021, to share the news that he had a new home in San Diego. He seemed to imply he was taking a break from acting as he said he might return to LA "someday.".Daytime soap lovers were excited recently when the actor announced he had a new role but soon were disappointed because it was not what they had thought. Christopher was not returning to NBC or ABC but was announcing he was part of the cast in a new film titled Moon Crash. The plot is about the drama that ensues after a piece of the moon breaks off and begins heading towards the earth. The film also stars Jeremy London and Jamison Jones who recently portrayed Jesse Gaines on The Young and the Restless. In fact Christopher will soon be seen in two motion pictures.
Christopher will display his comedic abilities
Christopher's characters on Days of our Lives and General Hospital were prone to the dark side but in his second film, he is going for something different and a little lighter. Tyler's next film role is in the movie Murder, Anyone? where the actor shows viewers his comedic side. The film is a play within a play and Christopher portrays Richard, one of the actors who are startled when reel-time turns into real-time. It seems that every scene in the play actually comes to life in some horrific manner. The movie also stars Maurice LaMarche, Sally Kirkland, and Spencer Breslin. Christopher is no stranger to the big screen as he has had roles in The Pretender, Out of the Black, Sam's Circus, and the short Stage 4. When Tyler first came to California he struggled to find roles and decided to leave when he was unsuccessful. He returned in 1996 and this is when he ended up with the General Hospital role of Nikolas.

Christopher was also in the series ‘The Lying Game’ which premiered in August 2011 and featured Tyler as ‘police officer Dan Whitehorse The series aired for two consecutive seasons but was canceled due to a drastic drop in its ratings. Christopher was born Tyler Baker and changed his name in In 1997. He co-founded the Los Angeles theatre company 68 Cent Crew in 1998 and in 2004 he was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series. Tyler had initially auditioned for the role of ‘Stone Cates’ on ’General Hospital in 1993 and although he was disappointed not to get the part he came back in 1996, He auditioned for the role of ‘Nikolas Cassadine, and was offered a three-year deal. Christopher's portrayal of Nikolas won him a ‘Soap Opera Digest Award,’ two ‘First Americans in the Arts’ awards, a ‘TV Guide’ award, and a ‘Daytime Emmy Award. Tyler is of native American descent as his father is Senaca and his mother is Choctaw.
