The Ice Queen takes down the Lockness monster.

Like father like daughter

Om Friday’s episode of The Young and the Restless the moment of truth arrived that fans have been waiting for. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) proved two things were true. She is indeed her father-daughter and she rightly earned her nickname of the Ice Queen. Fans who suspected Vicki was only pretending to break off from her family were correct and those who worried Heinle was leaving the CBS soap can breathe a sigh of relief. Without batting an eyelash, Victor Newman’s ( Eric Braeden) namesake dismantled Ashland Locke ( Robert Newman) and left him in the spot spoilers said she would be in which is broken-hearted and alone. While Locke was out of the hotel room Vicki transferred money from one account to another. When he returned Ashland was stunned that the Newman jet was coming to New York for her. He was even more taken aback when Vicki confirmed that she had wiped him clean and left him with nothing.. Ashland looked clueless as Victoria explained that she switched the money from their joint account to a private one and reclaimed what was left of the Newman fortune he was paid. She taunted her ex-husband and asked how he thought she could forgive his treachery and said her plan all along had been to get her family’s money back.

The Lockeness monster defanged

The man who was called the Lockness monster had no idea his sweet loving former spouse could do such a thing to him. Victoria added that Ashland never really knew her and he could not say a word. All he can do now is lick his wounds and remain away from Genoa City but will he? This final act from Victoria should make it crystal clear she wants nothing more to do with Ashland but fans never know how the writers are penning the script. Now that the deed has been done there will be plenty of fallout back in Genoa City. It’s not yet clear wi was assisting Vicki and the storyline has given no clues. Victor, Nick Newman, Nikki Newman ( Melody Thomas Scott), and Adam Newman ( Mark Grossman) all seem surprised by the latest antics of their daughter and sibling. Not one of them has dropped a hint that they are involved In taking down Locke. Victor and Nikki as well as Adam and Sally Spectra ( Courtney Hope) all totes with the idea of Adam being removed as CEO and now that seems more like a reality. Victoria just recovered most of the half a million doll oats that was paid to Locke to leave town. This trumps anything Adam has done and might gain her the CEO position once again.

How will Adam and Sally be affected.

The Newman’s moving forward

If indeed this is the end of Locke the Newman family will feel invincible but there will continue to be infighting. Adam and Sally will be stunned but not completely shocked if Victor returns the keys to the kingdom to his daughter. Adam has braced himself and prepared mentally to find out his dad used him as a pawn. Nicholas has removed himself from the family business so he can watch the fallout as it happens. Whatever happens, depends on if Vicki had an accomplice and the plan was for her to reclaim the CEO spot all along. Adam has had multiple lessons he should have learned about how his father operates but he always takes the bate. Nothing has been said about Ashland being written out of the soap and if he returns to Genoa City he and Adam might team up to fight the Newman clan. One of the most chilling things that Victoria said to Locke was that she would never choose him over her family and would not ever turn her back on the Newman’s for him. Does this, however, extend to her youngest male sibling. Some viewers have even suggested that Adam could be his sister’s secret partner but all of this is speculation so be sure to tune in on Monday to find out how this saga continues
