What matters most in the world of entertainment is the impact it brings to the audience, and the power it holds to spread that impact.
BTS is widely known for their intricate dance moves, so every time they have a new release, there are specific moves that would instantly become iconic. Then, there are also those sexy moves that make all ARMYs around the world go crazy. They have the most seamless body rolls, floor grinding, abs exposure, hip thrusts, and other sexy pelvic movements that make ARMY want to freeze or rewind those moments. But even in their smoldering look while performing their sexy moves, they always give justice to their dance interpretation according to the depth of the song’s contents. In this article, I’d like to share the top BTS dance songs with the sexiest moves, and what each song speaks about.
Tomorrow is the sixth track to BTS’ second mini album, Skool Luv Affair, and was released on February 12, 2014. It was written by BTS members Suga, RM, and J-Hope, along with Slow Rabbit, the in-house producer of HYBE Labels, who also produced this song with Suga. The song speaks about worries of being in the same situation every day, and hoping for a better tomorrow. It delivers an inspiring message to follow our dream, that even if it breaks down, we should never run backwards. My most favorite line in the song is, “Because the dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest.”
Baepsae also known as Crow-tit/Silver Spoon is the sixth track to the album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 2, and the eighth track to the compilation album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. The song was written by Pdogg, RM, Slow Rabbit, and Supreme Boi, and was released on November 30, 2015. It speaks about the young generation and how people judge them and expect them to try harder, implying that they were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. The title also refers to a type of bird called crow-tit, which was used in reference to the Korean idiomatic expression. Baepsae is interpreted as attempting to walk like a stork, but then breaking its legs as its legs are shorter than that of a stork. It delivers a message that attempting to be a stork only ruins itself for trying to imitate someone. My most favorite line in the song is, “My legs are shorter, so how do you expect me to keep up?”
3. I Like It Pt. 2
I Like It Pt. 2 was released on December 24, 2014. It’s a Japanese song and the eighth track to their first Japanese studio album, Wake Up. It is also included in their Japanese compilation album, The Best of BTS (Japan edition). The song was written by Slow Rabbit and BTS members, Suga, RM, and J-Hope, and produced by Slow Rabbit and Pdogg. It’s one of those love songs during their early years that talks about a girl, and how they want to be with that girl again. My favorite lines are, “The burning love flows like water. The spring is far, the winter days flow again.”
Dimple is a subunit song by the BTS vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) which appears on the fourth track of their album, Love Yourself: Her. It is also included in their compilation album, Love Yourself: Answer. The song was written by Matthew Tishler, Allison Kaplan, and RM, and was released on September 18, 2017. The song’s title is Dimple because it refers to a girl’s dimple which is illegal and dangerous. There’s even a wordplay where they used, “illegirl” in the song. It teases a girl to express their interest. My favorite line in the song is, “That dimple is illegal, but I want it anyway…”
5. Fake Love
Fake Love was released on May 18, 2018, as the title track for the album, Love Yourself: Tear. It is also included in the compilation album, Love Yourself: Answer, and a remix was released as a digital single on June 4, 2018. The song was written by Pdogg, RM, and HYBE’s former CEO, “Hitman” Bang. It’s a bitter love song about doing everything for the one you love, even if you’re losing yourself in the process, pretending that things are fine when they’re not. My favorite line in the song is none other than the core message and title itself which says, “I’m so sick of this fake love.”
6. I Need U
I Need U was released on April 29, 2015, as the title track for their album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt. 1. It is also included in the compilation album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. Two other versions were released on May 2, 2016 as part of their compilation album. The song was written by Pdogg, “Hitman” Bang, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Brother Su. It’s a bitter love song that talks about love, hate, and needing someone despite the fact that it hurts. My favorite line in the song is, “Maybe it’s because the sky is blue, and the sun is shiny that my tears stick out.”
7. Blood, Sweat, & Tears
Blood, Sweat, & Tears was released on October 10, 2016, as the title track for the album, Wings. It is also included in the repackaged album, You Never Walk Alone. The song was written by Pdogg, “Hitman” Bang, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and Kim Do-hoon. It speaks about temptations that are hard to resist. My favorite lines are, “Deeply poisoned by the jail of you. I cannot worship anyone but you, and I knew the grail was poisoned, but I drank it anyway.”
Butter was released on May 21, 2021. It is BTS’ second all-English song that broke a lot of records and made history. The song was written by Jenna Andrews, Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, RM, Alex Bilowitz, Sebastian Garcia, and Ron Perry. It talks about being smooth like butter, and my favorite line is obviously one that mentions the fan base, “Got ARMY right behind us when we say so.” You can check out this article for more details: https://hubpages.com/entertainment/All-English-BTS-Songs-That-Broke-Records.
