The song charted in total of 26 countries worldwide reaching top positions in South Korea, Malaysia, Hungary, Singapore and US World Digital Song Sales. The song received gold certification in Canada and silver in Japan.

It won numerous accolades which include Song Of The Summer at 2020 MTV Video Music Awards (making BLACKPINK first and only female korean act and kpop girl group to do so), Best Digital Song at Golden Disc Awards, Best Music Video at APAN Music Awards, etc
