Also called 'The Wallflower', this is an anime that features the heroine, Sunako Nakahara, who is surrounded by four handsome men. You may thought of this as something as F4 (like Boys Over Flowers) but this is simply unique - because Sunako is not your ordinary girl. She has a weird obsession over creepy and scary things, and she loves hiding in dark places (together with her skeletal friend, Josephine). Our four flower boys (Kyouhei Takano, Takenaga Oda, Yukinojo Toyama, and Ranmaru Morii) gets to live inside the mansion under a certain condition - they have to turn Sunako into a beautiful lady that will please her auntie, who is also the landlord of the mansion. Their struggles towards Sunako's odd behavior makes the story funny, but the love interest that blossoms within this circle of relationship is simply cute and romantic.
9. Kamisama Hajimemashita
What if a handsome fox yokai became your familiar? Will you let him serve you, or will you end up serving him? This is the story of a poor girl named Nanami Momozono, who was appointed as a land lord and met her fox familiar, Tomoe. Who wouldn't fall in love with Tomoe's purple piercing eyes and snowy-white hair with a pair of cute ears? Of course, it's hard not to, but at first, Nanami and Tomoe aren't in good terms. They don't seem to get along because of Tomoe's hostile behavior towards Nanami. But as the story goes, Tomoe cared for Nanami and he protected her against the enemies, even if it almost cost his life. Their story is not just romantic, but heartwarming and funny as well.
8. Kimi ni Todoke
A cute, heartwarming, and lovely story of a shy and scary girl, Sawako Kuronuma, and her funny and romantic journey to love with a friendly guy, Shota Kazehaya. Sawako is often teased as 'Sadako' because of her creepy appearance in the beginning of the story. She has long, black hair and bangs which is very similar to Sadako. On the other hand, a popular guy with a handsome face, Shota Kazehaya tried to be friendly with Sawako after he fell in love with her shortly after meeting her. As their relationship grows, they became confused if they really have the same feelings, or is it just one-sided. Their uncertainty towards each other's feelings is the push-pull of the story. But admit it - it makes the story even more interesting.
7. Golden Time
Not all the time funny, because sometimes, it's super romantic, and sometimes, it's full of feels right to the core. Golden Time is a shoujo anime about Tada Banri and his fateful encounter with the extremely popular Kaga Kouko. Not even in Banri's dreams will appear that he will see a beautiful woman who slaps his classmate's face with a bouquet of roses like a calamity. And not even in his wildest dreams will he even thought of that woman being crazy in love with him. The story is funny at first, but gets seriously romantic and sad as the truth about Banri's past is revealed, and his relationship with Kouko doesn't seem to be working well. Can Banri get over the pain of his past and came to love Kouko? Or will he be trapped in the horrors forever? These questions makes the anime worth watching.

A popular high school student named Misaki Ayuzawa is the first female student council president in Seika High. However, despite her tough-as-nails appearance, she secretly works part-time at a maid café in order to support her family. And this secret of her is discovered by another popular high school student named Takumi Usui. As the two continues to interact with each other, Misaki fell in love with Usui, but he is shadowed by his painful past. The roller-coaster relationship of these two individuals isn't just romantic. You'll find out that Usui has a cute side on him, and Misaki has a soft side as well. Together, they make a cute pairing.
5. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
One of the funniest anime ever, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is about Chiyo Sakura's crush on her schoolmate, Umetaro Nozaki, who happens to be a popular shoujo manga artist under the pen name Sakiko Yumeno. Though he is a shoujo artist who makes super-cheesy lines and scenes in his artwork, Nozaki is actually a very dense man in reality. Although Chiyo had shown him her affection and confessed to him her feelings, he simply didn't catch it all. This situation brought in a series of comical and funny scenes, plus meeting other interesting characters that made their 'supposed to be romantic relationship' into a hilarious one. As they work on Nozaki's hit romance manga, the characters also decided to experience love in reality, which makes the story even more exciting and comical.
4. Ouran High School Host Club
How can we not recognize this anime that goes on in the beginning like 'Kiss, kiss, fall in love!" This anime is about the story of a boyish girl named Haruhi Fujioka and her accidental encounter with the school's host club, thus, meeting the six members. The handsome members, who are known as the school's host club, met Haruhi in an awkward situation, so she accidentally broke the precious vase inside the host club room. In order to pay for the damage, she was asked to become a member of the host club, without realizing at first that she is actually a girl. As the story progresses, they learned of Haruhi's true gender, and the romantic interest becomes the focus of the story. However, it doesn't always as romantic as it seems, because there's always a funny scene to make up the cheerful mood.
3. Lovely Complex
This anime never fails to give us a hard laugh from the start until the end. Lovely Complex is about the comical romance of two opposite individuals, Risa Koizumi and Atsushi Otani. Koizumi is a very tall girl, while Otani is a short guy. Together, they are known as 'Hanshin-Kyojin'. The story started as a comedy encounter of the two characters, but it started to have a romantic interest when Koizumi started to fall in love with Otani. He, however, doesn't know about this, and continues to tease her like the always do. When Koizumi confessed, Otani was just so dense (he's one of the most dense character in the history of anime) and he thought of it as a joke. The comical ups and downs of Koizumi's feelings towards Otani makes the story really funny. And, she's simply funny. Her reactions are priceless!

But as soon as she learned of his betrayal, she decided to get revenge on him by entering the world of entertainment. Upon her struggles to open the door of showbiz, she met the super actor, Ren Tsuruga. As she acts toward her success and to get her sweet revenge, she ended up falling in love with Ren. The love, romance, and fun starts as the Sho and Ren had a showdown against each other in order to get Kyouko.
Whan a tiger and a dragon fall in love, it is indeed a disaster! Toradora features Ryūji Takasu, a gentle man whose eyes is similar to a dragon - fierce and intimidating, like a delinquent. He lives in the neighborhood of a huge house, where a girl of short temper named Taiga Aisaka stays. Taiga has a negative attitude towards others and has a habit of snapping violently at people, that is why she is being teased as a tiger. She takes an instant dislike to Ryuji, and Ryuji does the same. But as the saying goes, the more you hate, the more you like. Even though they are enemies at first, the wind of live blows them together, and the tiger and the dragon fell in love with each other. The story of their relationship will definitely give us laugh and love.
