Other than in advertisements for some weight-loss program or pill, the preposition is seldom used with any regularity. There are, however, two times every year when the word “Before” becomes an important indicator for a holiday, both recognized on the evening prior to Christmas and exactly one week later the evening prior to New Year's.
Although still rare the preposition, or sometimes conjunction or adverb, does pop up in a song title once in a while. So before we celebrate the two big Eves of the year, take a few minutes to listen to a song on the following list.
