Anime: The Best Source for Companionship
Anime is the best source for companionship. Characters will go as far as they need to with no regard for their personal safety as long as they can be with their friends and save them from any potential threat and we absolutely love them for that.
It is very rare to see selfless acts as heroic and brave as the ones portrayed in anime and we just need a little dosage of this every now and then to remember that people still think this way and many of us hide heroes and companionship like no other deep in ourselves. All we have to do to really create a special bond is be willing to give many of ourselves to someone significant and be prepared to not receive the same treatment back. Ideally, and in most cases, if you treat a human being a certain way they will mimic the same treatment back to you, thus creating a connection and therefore a bond.
The Top 10 Best Anime Bonds:
The bonds shared in anime are strong ones that have made us reflect deeply on our way of life and how we treat our loved ones. Sometimes we just wish we could understand how they could do so much for someone. There are some relationships that stand out the most because of how devoted the people in them were towards each other. So I wanted to share these outstanding links that made us see how much someone can care about another person and how much people would be willing to sacrifice for them. Here they are, the top 10 best anime bonds:
The Elric brothers from Full Metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood:
Known for always sticking together, Edward and Alphonse Elric have had to go through quite a few rough patches. Nevertheless, they have fought through all obstacles and adversaries together, knowing what the other one was thinking and flowing flawlessly as they fought and shared their wisdom with the world. They are mostly respected because no one could sway their opinion of their brother and they only grew apart at one point to become even closer later on. These two are the only ones left for each other and depend on themselves at all times.
Kakashi and Gai from Naruto and Naruto Shippuden
Eternal rivals and eternal friends, these two always have each other's backs. Because they always fight and compete, they have been able to maintain the same skill level and work together perfectly. Kakashi is the cool side of the team, bringing a leveled head to any fight and Gai is the perfect example of youth and exploding energy, thus balancing each other. They're funny, amazing and a dynamic duo that is quite hard to beat.
Maka Albarn and Soul Evans from Soul Eater:
Working as Meister and Weapon, these two are inseparable. Although they may have their quarrels and differences, they will always find a way to work things out and continue working together, growing with each battle and experience. They will also sacrifice each other without a second thought, producing an understanding, trusting relationship that will last forever. They will get along with others just fine but remain a team through anything, allowing them to help other teams out and keep control of the situation.
Asuna and Kirito from Sword Art Online
These two found each other in the VRMMORPG known as SAO and shared warmth and understanding. They knew very little of trusting others and fully letting their guard down so letting themselves be free and enjoy some of their time in their prison really allowed them to grow in strength and peace at mind. They also stepped in front of death as long as there was a chance that their partner could be saved and see real life again.
Krillin and Goku
These friends spent their whole lives together, training and growing, even if it was at different rates. Spanning through all the generations of Dragon Ball Z, Krillin has never faltered in being at the side of Goku in each fight and providing support. Goku has always tried to defend him and keep him alive and well, losing his mind when he first died in the battle against Frieza. They even spent some of the last moments in GT together; bringing tears in the eyes of die-hard fans and making us understand just how much they cared for each other.
Simon and Kamina from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan
Even though Kamina did not get to physically be around for Simon as he fought to make the world a better place for the humans, his spirit and strength always motivated him strongly and kept him on the right path. Always dreaming big, Kamina was the natural born leader but lost his life in one of the early battles, leaving Simon scarred. He continued to fight and persist in the struggle for a great future because this man he called a brother cared for him so much and taught him so much, he did not want any of that positive energy and love to go to waste.
Ash and Pikachu from the many, many Pokémon seasons
These two have been together since episode one and we have yet to see them be separated. After a couple arduous struggles and bad turns, these two found trust and solace in each other, depending on their dynamic strategies and spirit to get through anything. There is not much to say except that these two will possibly never have to see a day without each other and they are best of friends through thick and thin, making all young children want a Pikachu of their own.
Eren, Mikasa and Armin from Attack on Titan
This might be cheating but this relationship if far too strong to ignore. Spending much of their childhood together and dreaming of see the humans strive without fear of the titans, these friends have fought and risen to very difficult moments together, fighting their fear and stress to achieve a better future. They always have each other in mind and do not hesitate to help each other, saving each other's lives countless times.
Ryuko Matoi and Mako Mankanshoku from Kill La Kill
At first I was going to put Senketsu instead of Mako but I think she has a much better connection with Ryuko. In the darkest times of the series, Mako would jump out of nowhere and hilariously motivate Ryuko to keep going with her uniform she loved so much and to never give up. Even when she was consumed by power, she did not harm Ryuko for long before breaking down and apologizing thoroughly. She is the first real family to Matoi after her father's death and always finds new ways to make her understand that the future is still fighting for.
Inuyasha and Kagome from Inuyasha
They may have had tough times with all the control Kagome had over Inuyasha with the collar around his neck but these two grew together to become a strong couple that would fight Naraku until his plans were absolutely destroyed. I loved their devotion and care for one another that would be shown shyly every now and then. They let each other know that they would forever belong to one another with little signs of affection and it was a connection I think few people get to experience like they did. There is the controversy about Inuyasha and Kikyo but that relationship never stopped him from tending to Kagome and growing to care more and more for her with each day together.
These characters cannot live without one another and I am glad they don't. They have served as teachers and entertainers that have showed me many can still care and love deeply for their loved ones, always willing to do anything for them and I have changed a lot because of those lessons. This does not mean I dream of perfect scenarios and relationship but know they take work and with the proper treatment and love, they can grow to be amazing sources of happiness and strength.

You are with me there my friend. These bonds are great teachers of the true meaning of friendship.
Thank you for you comment.

My favorite bond has always been Goku and Krillin. My second favorite is Kamina and Simon. Both bonds show what it means to be true friends to the end. They never betrayed the other or let the other one down.

Thank you Smile09!
I agree these are all amazing bonds as well but I thought the ones above had a deeper impact and meaning to them. The ones you mentioned have a great story behind them but the series did not focus a lot of time on it, making the bonds a little less relatable, to me at least.
Again thank you for your comment :)
