The Top 10 Songs That Move Me (Videos)
Music To My Soul
I love music. No, I REALLY love music. If it had a face, I'd kiss it. If it had hands, I hold them. If it had a stomach, I'd cook the most delicious meal for it on Valentine's Day.
Music has given me so much. A song that makes me so happy that I think I might explode from joy, and tears because the words mean so much and almost seem like they've been written just for me.
I have a list of songs I want played at my funeral. It's not a complete list, because I don't plan on going anywhere any time soon. I think this is a good idea because I've been to funerals where they play that tear-jerking, gut-wrenching organ music. If you're going to cry because I'm gone, I'd much rather you do it to songs that I loved while I was alive.
Here are 10 songs, in no particular order, that I truly love. Some make me happy. Some make me sad. All are inspiring and give hope. I hope you find some new favorites. Music is meant to be shared.
Rufus Wainwright ~ Across The Universe
John Fogerty ~ Centerfield
Charlotte Church ~ Pie Jesu
Dave Grusin ~ On Golden Pond
Dropkick Murphys ~ Going Out In Style (some profanity)

Gypsy, I have favorites from many different years. I even like Benny Goodman! I'm not a fan of new country, but I do like old country like, Johnny Cash, George Jones, & Hank Williams Sr.
P.S. the first song, "Across The Universe" is actually a Beatles song written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Hadn't heard of any of them except for Imagine. But great music anyway. I'm a child of the 70s and 80s and love all kinds of music but especially oldies and country.
