The Undertaker has had some of the most memorable opponents in the past who he never faced-off against at the super bowl of wrestling. Following are ten dream opponents who The Undertaker never faced at WrestleMania:
01. Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan was the most popular wrestler of the 1980s and is still regarded as one of the most recognized wrestling stars all around the world. He has feuded with The Undertaker over the years, giving so many memorable matches that fans still remember. The Undertaker defeated Hulk Hogan to win his first WWE Championship at Survivor Series 1991. Despite having so many matches over the years, they never squared-off against each other at WrestleMania. This is a perfect WrestleMania dream match.
02. Bret “The Hitman” Hart
Bret Hart is regarded as one of the finest and most decorated technical wrestlers of all times. Paving the way for a generation of wrestlers, he headlined Wrestlemania on three different occasions but never faced-off against The Undertaker on the grandest stage of them all. Though, The Undertaker and Bret Hart have some history in the ring but a Wrestlemania match between the two would have been an absolute delight to watch.
Who could forget the history between the two legendary icons? Mankind is one of the three faces of Mick Foley who debuted the day after Wrestlemania XII and quickly got into a feud with The Undertaker. Since then, the two have had some of the most remarkable matches taking their battles into crowds, backstage areas, and even in the boiler rooms of different arenas showcasing some of the most memorable and brutal matches in professional wrestling history. Instances that included Foley being thrown over the top of a cage onto an announcers table. Though, Mick Foley has never won at Wrestlemania but this rivalry should have been showcased at WrestleMania.
04. The Rock
The Rock has been known for electrifying fans all around the world for over two decades now. He is regarded as the greatest wrestling star in the world by many. The Rock has headlined WrestleMania multiple times and has defeated the likes of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena, and many more at WrestleMania. The Rock has faced The Undertaker on a few different occasions but never really got a chance to square-off against The Deadman at WrestleMania. The Undertaker vs. The Rock would be a great dream match at WrestleMania as two of the most decorated superstars of all times would bring out the best in each other at the grandest stage of them all.
05. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Stone Cold and The Undertaker are two of the biggest names from the Attitude Era. They've had some intense rivalries over the years. A 12-minute match between The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin drew a 9.5 rating on June 28, 1999. It stands as the highest-rated segment in Raw history. Stone Cold is dubbed as the man who broke all the box office records in his time. He also headlined Wrestlemania on three different occasions. Despite facing The Undertaker numerous times, Stone Cold never squared-off against The Deadman at WrestleMania. Stone Cold Steve Austin could be a great opponent for The Undertaker at Wrestlemania as this is a perfect dream match worthy of being featured at the show of shows.
The man they call Sting, is undoubtedly one of the greatest in-ring performers to grace the squared-circle. Widely known for his time spent in the-now defunct promotion WCW, Sting is regarded as the Franchise of WCW. Although Sting has faced The Undertaker on a couple of occasions during Taker's time in WCW but they never faced each other in a televised match. Two amazing characters in their own way, a match between these two legendary icons should have been showcased at WrestleMania as this is one of the biggest and most sought for dream matches clamored by the wrestling fans around the world.
07. The Great Khali
In 2001, Khali signed a contract with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and spent eight months there, until WCW was bought by their rival promotion, then-World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He signed with the WWE in 2006 immediately starting a feud with The Undertaker. Khali defeated The Undertaker at Judgment Day but The Undertaker eventually came out victorious in a Last Man Standing match on an episode of SmackDown, giving Khali his first definite loss in the WWE.
Although these two have been around for years but never faced-off at Wrestlemania. This would be a great match for the fans to see between the two seven footers.
The Undertaker has faced some of the toughest competitors over the years. He has also crossed paths with Goldberg on a couple of occasions like on Monday Night RAW and even at the Royal Rumble 2017 Pay-Per-View event prior to facing him at Super ShowDown in 2019, in which The Undertaker won as that wasn't very well-received by the fans due to a number of reasons.
Although The Undertaker versus Goldberg didn't go down in history as desired but this is also an amazing dream match that should take place at WrestleMania for the fans to enjoy in great display of skills and vintage expertise.
09. Braun Strowman
Standing 6 foot & 8 inches tall and weighing more than 380 pounds, Braun Strowman might be an upcoming name in professional wrestling but this guy is gaining quick popularity through awesome display of strength and power combined. Strowman taking on The Deadman at WrestleMania would be a delight for the fans to watch as this would be one serious competition for The Deadman himself at this point of his career. Couldn't rule out a match like this one from my list of the ten dream Wrestlemania matches for The Undertaker.
10. Vince McMahon
Vince McMahon has his share of history with The Undertaker that includes feuds and alliances on multiple occasions. The Undertaker has defeated his son Shane McMahon at WrestleMania but haven't fought The Chairman of the board on the show of shows. This is also a dream match worthy to be featured at WrestleMania.
With a blend of creativity, skills and expertise, The Undertaker is undeniably a legendary figure. There are only a couple of instances where The Undertaker defeated Brock Lesnar in his career. Otherwise, it was Brock Lesnar coming out on top whenever they battled, especially on Pay-per-view events.
He is over 50 years of age and he only wrestles part-time, usually on a PPV event like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, etc.
film critic on September 03, 2017:
Wow, I thought he was old when I stopped watching back in the 90s. That is awesome that he is still wrestling!
Angel Guzman from Joliet, Illinois on September 03, 2017:
He had an incredible match against Brock Lesnar in 2002 Survivor Series. Suprised he lost.
